S I N G U L A R I T Y

My epiphany for today comes to light
With cup of strong coffee,
When my chapped lips block the passage of my desired words,

The golden light of my eyes
Slowly rust as time erases my memory,

Funny little twitches of my nose
indicate an oncoming snort of joy
The sad droop of my posture afterwards
Indicate the lack of someone to laugh with.

Mountains of philosophies
Tunnels of dusty books
They've never warned me
That having a lot of friends
Didn't mean I would never feel alone.

So I go back my half cup of coffee,
And rejoice in my last remaining company.

So, one, I won the second place in a poetry competition.
Two, I realized today that even though I was close to crying I had nobody to turn to at the moment. So I poured that into this poem.
