Arc 1 chapter 3

Arthur pov

"Elizabeth, I'm really worried about you," I tell her over the phone.

" I'm fine no need to b-" she cut herself off.

"Elizabeth."

"Elizabeth!"

"He's home, I have to go!" She whispered.

"Elizabeth wait n-"

CALL ENDED.

I look at my phone,

"I feel bad for her," my co worker Jenna sighed.

"I cant prove he is hitting her and it angers me that he's using her." I spat.

Elizabeth, why do you do this to yourself?

Elizabeth pov

"Who was that on the phone?" Estarossa asks.

"Uh no one!" I try to lie.

"Who?" He asks again.

"Arthur." I whisper.

He slaps me across the face,

"I thought you loved me?" He questions.

" It do has just a friend." I whimper.

"Your so annoying, if you want to make me happy go buy me some food." He spat,

I ran out side to go to the gas station to get food.

Dang it! I forgot to cover the slap mark, I have to use my hair.

I brush my hair to cover my slap marks, I walk in tugging at my long sleeves so no one can see the bruises on my arms. 

I grab some of his favorite snacks and drinks and then pay up. 

I walk home debating if I should run away or not, I end up going home.

I enter our house

"thank you Ellie, now come here. I'm sorry for hitting you." He tells me. 

I come to him, he hugs me. "I see you have gotten me my favorite things to eat, that's a GOOD girl." He whispers. I shiver a little, I don't like it when he calls me that. 

He starts stroking my hair again, just like in the parking lot. 

Sigh,

I cant wait to leave him. 

The next day,

I get ready for work, covering up my slap mark.

He left early so that means I'm free for an hour before work. I should leave early. That means I can leave work earlier to tell Arthur my plans. I'm excited to run away. I cant wait to be free again.

I start on my way to work like normal,

Once I get there and settled I got a call from estarossa.

Hey where are you? He asked.

Work. I reply to him.

Who said you could go to work early today? He questioned.

Nobody, I whispered.

Good, now when you get home make me some food to make up for it. He barked.

Yes Estarossa, I whisper.

Good girl, have a good day at work. He tells me and hangs up.

Why did I tell him were I was?

"Whoa look out!" I hear,

SPLASH. CRASH. 

Water gets thrown at my face,

"O-oh elizabeth I'm sorry! Diane's going to kill me!" I hear.

I look down, my co worker king tripped.

"Your fine king!" I smile at him,

He just stared at my face,

"E-elizabeth your face." He mumbles.

Oh no, the make up must of come of when I got wet from the water bottle.

I just stood there,

The my boss walked in the room.

King told him what happened, he turns to me to look at my face. 

"Elizabeth what happened to your face? Are things really ok?" He asked.

I just stood there.

"Boss can we talk?" I ask him,

He nods and we walk to his office.

"Elizabeth, I'm really worried for you please tell me what's wrong" He begged.

"Ok I will" I mumble.

"Ill try to help you in anyway possible kay?" He told me, I nod.

I have a lot of explaining to do.
