The next few weeks, Trixie found as much time as she could to hide away with her guitar, planning something secret. Katya'd often find her sat hunched over a notebook scribbling things down and crossing them out again, and would wonder what on earth she was doing. "Backwoods Barbie, what're you up to? You keep disappearing off with that bird guitar," Trixie laughed.
"It's a Gibson, Doves in Flight - not a fucking bird guitar! It was very expensive, thanks very much. As to what I'm doing, it's a surprise," Katya raised an eyebrow.
"I hate surprises,"
"You are a surprise," (a/n I've listened to Heavy Crown so many times today and it's only 9:38am)

Finally, Trixie called Katya upstairs. "Katya! Get ready, we're going out,"
"I love night walks!"
"It's 6pm,"
"Still!" The girls both laughed. Trixie, for once, was ready to go before a Katya, having done her makeup an hour before. "Ugh, hurry up," she complained.
"Now you know how I feel, Linda,"
"I thought I was Tracy,"
"Tracy, Linda, Barbara, S.R. Hadden, who cares," Katya began brushing her hair. "Right, I'm done,"

"Why've you got your guitar case, Brenda?" Katya asked Trixie as they walked, through a field. (Do you whores see where this is going) "It's a surprise,"
"I told you so many times, I hate surprises!"
"Well that sucks for you,"
"Where're we going?" the Russian asked, having a suspicion that she knew.
"See those trees? There,"
"Are you gonna take me there, and then over that way, and then cover my eyes and walk me forwards to a small river and perfect sunset-viewing area where I first...?"
"Fuck," Katya screamed with laughter.
"You can't fool me, bitch," (a/n I told you it'd be cute)

They came to the forest border, and Trixie took Katya's hands in hers. She was shaking slightly, but ignored it, and lead her friend through the maze of tree trunks that Katya remembered so vividly. "Here's where I close my eyes,"
"Yekaterina Zamolodchikova stop ruining it!!" Trixie exclaimed. "But yes, do,"  Katya did as she was told, and allowed the Backwoods Barbie to lead her forward into a clearing. "Open,"

Katya looked around again - everything was as she remembered. The grass was soft and bright, the river was crystal clear, and the trees still cast their shadow, providing perfect shade. "It's so much nicer than I remembered," she breathed, sitting on the grass. (A/n I think I say this every chapter but Make Up Your Mind is a) iconic, b) incredible and c) slept on - Make Up Your Mind for president - it's such a misfortune I have to change it for something a bit older) She looked over at Trixie, who was unzipping her guitar case. "I shan't ask what you're doing because you'll say it's a surprise,"
"Too right I will," Trixie struggled to put the strap over her shoulder, giving Katya quite a show. "I did it, don't worry," she exclaimed, after a few minutes of struggling.

(A/N oh bitch the next chapter is going to be adorable and just know I will cry whilst writing it, thank you - Holly xoxo)
