By the time we finally arrived at the new house all I wanted to do was go lay down. Six solid hours with my parents telling me how great this experience was going to be for me, was giving me a killer head ache. . No sooner had we pulled in and you could already tell the house was old and run down. Just then not thinking things could get any worse dad broke the news to me that we would have no electricity or water for at least a few days. Unfortunately none of our furniture had arrived yet. I had only just got arrived and I could already tell I was going to hate this place. It felt so spooky here like someone was watching me, I looked around but saw nothing. With nothing to do, I grabbed my stuff from the car and began to carry it inside. As I walked towards the house with a box in my hand, the curtains on the second story window slowly moved shut. I set down my stuff and ran upstairs to investigate.
"Jessie! Come bring in your stuff!" My mother yelled at me just as I reached the top
"Ugh!" I sighed as I turned around and walked back out to the car. After hours of unpacking, I decided to go back upstairs and investigate the room I saw earlier. As I crept up the stairs, the door at the end of the hall slowly creaked open. I stood still and stared at the open room. A blur suddenly appeared near the window and a faint whisper echoed through my ear.
"Help me." A voice echoed as the blur disappeared. I stood in silence and scanned the room. What the heck was that?
"Jessie! We are going out to eat! Come on!" My father shouted to me from the bottom of the stairs.
"Alright, I'm coming." I stated as I slowly walked out of the room and towards the car.
