Madison pov
When I finally spotted Draco I went to sit right in front of him. He was reading a book I didn't know he was smart enough to read.
Crabbe and goyle came and sat on both sides of draco not bothering to say hello. I never really got along with them due to them being idiots.
After what felt like forever of being alone with 3 annoying idiots, pansy finally came and got seated next to me.
"Blaise isn't here yet" she whispered to me which made me chuckle softly at how she still likes him. She had liked him since we were 8. They honestly are cute. It's like puppy love.
"I honestly didn't want to go here" pansy growled, making me laugh "I swear you laugh at everything" she sighed
I hadn't even realised we arrived.
"This way first years" I hear while making my way to where the giant guy was standing.
He soon began to walk to what seemed like a lake full of boats.
Pansy locked her arm with mine and we made our way to the boat closest to us. We sat down next to each other while Malfoy sat in front of me.
"So dray where is Blaise" Pansy complained "I hadn't seen him all the way here".
Malfoy looks up annoyed " with his older sister" and looks back down at his book.
Is that about quidditch, he knows first years can't play quidditch right.
"You know" he looks up at me annoyed yet again "first years aren't allowed to play quidditch" I stated
"State the obvious more won't you" he snarled at me.
What's his problem? I didn't do anything to him.
The rest of the ride to the giant castle was quiet, no one spoke a word.
Malfoy was the first one off the boat. He extended his hand to help me out but I refused and got out myself. That made pansy chuckle and earn a glare from malfoy.
Our group finally found each other and we made our way up the stairs to the hall gate.
A teacher soon came out "welcome to Hogwarts" she said calmly "Now in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your class mate but before you can take your seats you must be sorted into your houses" she took a small pause and continued to speak.
"There are gryffindor,hufflepuff,ravenclaw and Slytherin now while you're here your house will be like your family, your trams will earn you point any rule breaking and you will lose you points" she took another short pause and continued again "at the end of the year the house with the most points will be awarded the house cup" coming closely to the end of her speech everyone stared to hear a small toad noise.
"Trevor" a plump boy yelled and walked over in front of the teacher to pick the toad up. ew a toad "Sorry" he says clearly, realising what he had done. "The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily, '' the lady says while turning around and walking away.
"It's true then" Malfoy said and two boys, one with red hair and one with rounded glasses, looked at him.
"What they were saying in the train Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts" Amit of gasps and whispers filled the place.
god this boy can't keep his mouth shut. I rolled my eyes at him the minute he looked at me.
"This is crabbe and goyle" malfoy says, using his head to point at the two boys. "And I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy '' Malfoy started. the red haired boy chucked god damn these student are stupid they really can't keep quite.
"Think my name's funny do you, no need to ask yours red hair and a hand me down rope you must be a weasley" malfoy says making the boy look down in shame and me just laughing which earned me a glare from the round glasses kid.
"You'll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others, you don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort" malfoy says with a little pause " I can help you there" he says, extending his hand for the pottah to shake.
"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thanks" pottah says leaving malfoy speechless and me being a good friend, ew anyways I have to do something about this "Obviously you can't, after all you're hanging out with that lame excuse of a wizard" I say which made malfoy laugh so hard but then we just walked away. I could feel Harry's glare burning my back.
As everyone makes their way to the front of the hall I look back and Potter is still staring "madison Avery" the teacher calls my name and I make my way to the chair feeling everyone eyes on me.
"Very tricky" the hat says thinking
"Slytherin please Slytherin" I say under my breathe
"Slytherin aye? You would be a great addition the house of slytherin.........SLYTHERIN" the hat yells and I got up, put the hat down and ran to the Slytherin table waiting for my friends to be sorted with me.
"Pansy Parkinson" she slowly starts walking and closing her eyes as soon as the hat touched her head.
"SLYTHERIN"
She came running to me and hugged me. I hugged her back of course.
Everyone soon got sorted into their houses.
I looked over at Ron and Harry and gave them a smirk.
While they rolled their eyes.
Food started to appear at the table and everyone started to dig in but I had to be good mannered and not eat a lot or eat like the animals on the gryffindor table ahem ahem Ron ahem ahem.
The Prefects soon led us to our room and yelled out the password which was 'pure blood' quite cliche if you ask me but I was so tired that I couldn't wait to go to sleep once we were told where our rooms were.
