Silver shadowed stories (mini-story collection)

A fascinating first meeting

Now.......where to begin........ah yes that one faitful afternoon, when two worlds come crashing together.

Bumblebee pov:

:Pine tree......pine tree....oh look ANOTHER pine tree:    I thought to myself     :Doesn't any of Nevada's plant species offer variety?:

"Arrrrg, the Primes hate me. The kids have a school-free-day or something annnnnd instead of kicking my little buddy Raf's aft in that new racing game, I'm stuck out in the middle of a forest looking for some stupid energy signature, but all I can find is pine trees"

Signing in annoyance, Bumblebee firmly whacked a low hanging branch that stuck out in front of him. In the drained and grumpy mood he was in, Bee was unaware of the return of said branch; right in the faceplate. Although it did dampen Bee mood, the branch's 'attack' allowed him to realise he wandered into an open area. 

:What is this place?:     I surveyed the area and notice twin lakes hidden by rocky outcrops, it was rather beautiful; in a mysterious and rugged kind of way.     :It's a good spot for a hide-out, hidden from humans, high-up and the landscapes has it's own hostile features:

Bee was admiring the scenery when a movement in the water caught his attention. Activating his cannons, Bee slowly approached the water's edge. The now calm surface of the water uneased Bee, as he got the feeling of being watched. 

:Come on Bee you're being ridiculous if something is in there go check it out, you're a scout after all:       I reminded myself. Optimus Prime picked me to be on his team, a sudden movement in water shouldn't turn me into a sparkling. 

Although Bee's pride won over, he still cautiously waded into the water. The sky above him turned a dark orange signalling the coming night. As Bee was knee-deep, SOMETHING roped around his ankles dragging him further into the water. Caught by surprise, Bee was almost helpless in his struggle to regain his footing. By some miracle, he was able to grasp onto solid rock while being dragged through the water and realised himself from his capture's grasp. 

I was gasping while I scrambled to a shallower section of the lake; my helm in a whirl and spark pounding through my chest plate. Once on the shallower ground, I managed to calm my overworked circuits and reached to my com to request an immediate extraction. As I make the connection the sound of rushing water behind me signalled that whatever attack me was emerging from the depths. My curiosity outweighed my sensibility and I turned to face my attacker. 

That moment the world seemed to freeze, bright blue eyes stared in nebulas that reflected the twilight lit sky. Bee couldn't find the strength or will to look away or do anything but stare, frozen. The two hypnotic nebula eyes belonged to a creature he recognised but could not compare to what stood before him. This moment, that lasted second felt like millennia. The worried, annoyed and gruff voice of his team's medic was the only thing that snaped Bee from his trance. As he cleared his helm to responded to Ratchet, he noticed the creature that previously stood before him was gone without a trace.

I sat upon the medical berth in our base waiting for Ratchet to contact Optimus. I didn't have to wait long. 

"Bumblebee, Ratchet stated that you request my presence in reporting your findings at an unknown energy signature site." Boss bot said in that stern, commanding but sire-like voice of his that instantly relaxes my tense frame. 

"Did you discover the source of the energy signature" Ratchet ask impatiently, obviously thinking I am wasting his time by (in his opinion) acting like a scared sparkling. I knew he cared through, even if he rarely shows it. 

"Yeah" I started simply still in a little shock.

"Well....." Optimus continues.

"It was......was.........." I couldn't keep the tremble that rolled through my frame. 

"Spit it out youngling," Ratchet said in a harsh tone. 

"It was a.......a predicon......I think" All I got were stares in reply.
