We didn’t know what to do with the newly found information. What a normal teenager would do was seek out help, but that wasn’t an option unless we wanted to become somebodies science experiment. So our home that we gave our selves was to watch the TV show “The Charmed Ones,” as well as any books we could find on the subject witches. I wanted to know more about my magic and if there was a way I could do it on my own, instead on depending on Annabelle and Kayla. By the way if I hadn’t yet mentioned my name it’s Tatiana. Well I tried levitating a pencil (better to start small and work your way up). At first nothing happened but after three days of constantly trying and focusing I saw it twitch. That little movement gave me hope that I could actually levitate something even if it is something small. Trying one last time the pencil ever so slightly moved and levitated toward me. After this success I immediately call Annabelle and Kayla.
“Hey what’s up” and “what r u up to” were the responses I received.
“I just found out I can levitate things on my own. Well I’ve only levitate a pencil but close enough , though it did take me at least three days just too that.”
“Oh my god, I that we had to be together to do magic. “ Annabelle replied, always the one to worry first. It was her way of reacting always finding the negative first then after the good.
“Well to have the greater power you do but if you try something and focus on it you could probably do anything it will just take a lot of patients. I suggest we meet at the clearing every day till we figure out how to understand and control our new power. Like the saying says practice makes perfect.”
For the next couple of days we practiced and tried to hone in on our skills. We all had the power to levitate, freeze time, teleport and last but not least we could control the elements. The day we found that out was scare as hell.
It was our last day at the cabin and we were practicing and trying our best to control the other powers that we had found. School started in two day and the practice was helping. Though the girls hadn’t said anything when I first called them about being able to levitate the pencil they had also been trying to figure out their powers alone on the first three days in their rooms. After I had admitted it they told me the day we went to the clearing to practice for the first time. This helped us immensely since I didn’t have to explain much. But toward the end me and we were about done practicing and had gotten pretty good but it would have to do since we were leaving that day to go home and relaxed for the first day of school. We were all happy and all of a sudden the earth started to tremble. Everyone would assume that since we had magical powers we would assume it was us or something evil. But I guess everyone has their blonde moments (no offense to blonde). As we got scared the earth started to split where we were standing and create walls around us as if protecting us as well as a ring of fire and water surrounding us. What scared us the most was the tornadoes that appeared out of nowhere with us sitting in the middle of all of it. Kayla being the only level headed person at the time had calmed down enough to notice the pattern we had missed in the beginning. The more we were terrified the more elements reacted as if protecting us and not caging us in. After five minutes we were able to calm down and slowly the element left one but one with no damage left in its wake. We didn’t know what was happening but when everything was clear Kayla started to analyze the situation.
“What the hell just happen and how are you so calm” I screamed at Kayla.
“Guys I think we just did that!” an excited Kaya replied.
“How” and “no it was not” were our brilliant responses.
“Well did you notice it reacted with our emotion? When we were happy it shook as if laughing too, but when we got scared all the elements appeared and surrounded us protecting us from whatever was scaring us. Though they did not know it was them.” I replied like any normal person would, with sarcasm. “So if I just yelled fire come to me or I summon water it would……”
All of a sudden one of my hands was filled with fire while, the other water. Both Kayla and Annabelle watched with fascination. I stared at my hands amazed the fire was juts stilling there not burning me it felt normal and the water was there no moisture touching me unless I let it.
Annabelle slowly reached toward the fire ball and the fire moved slowly as if it knew we were new to magic. It didn’t want to frighten us. As the fire move to Annabelle the water moved to Kayla.it was amazing, me being the curious one tried the same with wind and earth. One had I had a mini tornado and the other had rocks and dirt. Although the tornado was way cooler I looked at the rocks and dirt. Since the other girls were still focused on the fire and water, I wanted to see what I could do with the other two elements I had in my hands. I started with the earth I wanted to see if I could make another earth quake and focused on the earth soon enough the earth started to shake. That brought the girls out of their trance. They move closer to me and watched after I turn to my other hand. Slowly the tornado grew bigger, and slowly slid off my hand. Annabelle turned to me and smiled, fire became part of the tornado, all of a sudden water joined the tornado. We joined hand and were happy that we had accomplished something without training.
“Maybe this won’t be so bad after all.”
