THIRD POV

"Eh?"

The coach grinned at them, "You heard that right! Itachiyama invited us to a formal dinner before the practice matches start the day after that. Ah, L/n, please organize their stuff for me. I still need to attend a meeting last minute but don't worry, I'll return as fast as I can. Ready them because the dinner is tonight."

"What do you mean formal dinner before a practice match? That isn't possible," Kita raised a brow at the coach.

He sighed, "Well, the coaches there wanted to talk volleyball business with me. Don't worry though, it's all on him. We will only spend a night in a formal party then go with the general event the day after that."

"We're off then!" The coaches waved and disappeared on the other side of the gym doors.

It has been a few weeks and it had been slight bland for Y/n. The amount of therapy and training she had gone through for her germaphobia was slightly intense— but in the end it seemed to be worth it, she's slowly feeling free and comfortable with stuff she had been having trouble with when her germaphobia was serious.

"Y/n," Atsumu hummed and hugged her from behind, resting his chin on top of her right shoulder.

"Woah what the fuck?" Suna blinked rapidly in disbelief and tried to pry the blonde's arms away.

Osamu raised a brow, "Um, what the hell?"

"Atsumu, what do you think you're doing?" Kita narrowed his eyes at him.

The omelette head blinked, "Well, I'm hugging her."

The girl didn't mind them and just finished notes on her clipboard as Atsumu clung to her torso with Suna and Osamu trying to remove his hold. Kita was sending chilly glares but the blonde still wouldn't let go.

If he were to perform a slide hit with a faster toss, it would penetrate through blocks more efficiently..

First rotation from B to D— can they do it? No, not if their jump power and speed lacks stability.

"That's enough— Atsumu let go," Kita shortly pinched the side of the blonde's stomach and he immediately let go.

"Ow," He whined and rubbed where Kita had pinched him.

Y/n stopped writing and hastily turned to Atsumu, pulled his shirt up to examine if there was any marks or not. When there wasn't after checking his stomach she turned to Kita with a deadpanned expression. She stood up straight, "Shinsuke, absolutely no pinching."

"Tch. I did not pinch him that hard," He muttered.

Osamu and Suna snickered from the side, "Kita-san's getting scolded."

"Both of you. Cycle around the gym and don't stop unless I say so. You too Atsumu," Kita said and approached the other members to help them with receives.

The blonde's eyes widened, "What did I even do?!"

Osamu and Suna's soul left their body as Atsumu continued to complain, leaving Y/n to sigh and retreat back to the bench along with her stuff.

Itachiyama.... Kiyo-nii would be a pain to deal with, no doubt. Y/n huffed and finished fixing her belongings.

"Y/n, walk home with me today."

She halted on her way out of the gym as most players finished practice, cleaning themselves up in their locker rooms. Atsumu jogged to her with a bright smile and gave her his school bag.

"Sure," She mumbled and sat on the bench outside to wait for him.

The girl was fiddling with Atsumu's bag straps when three girls appeared in front of her with disgusted frowns.

"You've been a brat lately. Why are you ignoring us?" She asked in a high pitched tone.

Y/n frowned, "Pardon?" She quietly asked.

The girl in the middle groped the innocent girl's face with a hand, a malicious glint shone in her eyes, "Listen here, if you don't quit as manager— we'll make sure to make your school life a living hell. No one is allowed to hang out with the boys but us."

"...," She remained quiet and tried to move her face away from the girl's grip but she couldn't.

"What are you mute? Answer me!" She exclaimed and slapped her across the face before gripping her face again.

Tears welled up in Y/n's eyes from the stinging, but her face remained neutral. She whimpered when the squeezed her face's cheeks tighter.

They were about to slap you again but the gym doors opened. They immediately let go and scattered away, leaving your cheeks red marked and eyes watery.

Or so you thought the girls got away.

Suna and Osamu appeared in front of them, towering over their small figures. Suna had his sharp eyes glaring at the three of them while Osamu had a cold glare. Atsumu walked towards them with a bitter smile.

"So yer the ones that have been trippin' with our manager these weeks," The blonde hummed before his smile dropped and a dark expression dawned on his face as he looked at them with disgust and anger, "You do know that no one gets away with it, right?"

Osamu looked at them with the same disgust, "Yer the ones that bleached her hair, aren't ya all?"

"N-No, Miya-senpai—"

"Leave them."

The boys stared at Y/n in disbelief when she said that.

"Please let them go."

She turned to them with a blank face despite her cheeks still stinging and red, "They're not worth our time."

With that she turned back and walked to the school gates. Suna bumped his shoulders purposefully harsh on theirs, Osamu didn't spare them a single glance ever again, and Atsumu complained at how awful their attitudes are with a tint of physical insult.

"Y/n, why didn't you tell us?" Suna started as the four of them walked away from the school.

She lightly shrugged and winced when Atsumu stroke her cheek with his gentle fingers, "I didn't think it mattered," She muttered.

"What the hell, Y/n," Osamu sighed, "Things like that pisses me off especially when it's you they targeted— I mean my manager in general."

Atsumu released a long sigh, "Satou-chan."

"Huh?" The girl's brows furrowed but Atsumu just grinned sweetly.

He lightly laughed, "That's the girl's name in the show ya watch, right?"

"Oh, yeah," She mumbled, "I thought you meant sugar."

"It can be," Atsumu shrugged and swung his arm over her shoulder.

Suna sighed loudly, "Yo, we're awkward here."

"This isn't you at all, 'Tsumu," Osamu said.

"Shut yer traps! Both of ya are just jealous because I get to be closer to Y/n than y'all," Atsumu growled and pulled the girl closer to him.

The girl laughed, making all three of them stop. She held Atsumu's hand as she turned to the trio, "No one has ever made me feel like this. I didn't even have friends like you three," She softly said.

"Thank you," She beamed with a smile, her soft features melting their hearts.

To say that their moods made joyous flips would be an understatement. It was their first time getting a manager that isn't head over heels over them and they appreciated that.

Atsumu lipped smile, Suna pinched her cheek jokingly, and Osamu patted her head. She released a short chuckle before walking forward with them again.

I never knew they would hold the serotonin I need. Y/n smiled to herself.
