The Market Place

I had gotten the shopping done and had just finished my homework when my mother came into my room.

"Levy?" She asked.

"Hm?"

"Will you take this and get a dress for tomorrow?" She asked.

"Why would I need a dress for tomorrow?" I asked puzzled.

"The neighbors are throwing a party to welcome us to town."

A.N. The town is made up of very little people so its like a neighborhood in itself,and there is a larger town just across the lake, but it is mostly Isolated.

"Oh okay. Sure. What kind of dress?"

"Something you would wear to one of your father's old business parties."

"K"

As I left the house I saw Lucy coming around the corner.

"Levy!" She called.

"H-hey"

"Where are you off to?" She asked catching up to me.

"My mother told me to get a dress for tomorrow..."

"Ah! Come with me. I just happen to also be in search of a dress!" she winked at me. As we walked into town I saw a lot of people from school who were all hanging out with their friends.

We walked to a shop that looked the same as the two on either side of it. But when we walked in, wow, pink much? There were dresses hanging everywhere, even from the ceiling. Yet some how there wasn't too many.

After a while of looking around Lucy came back to me with a light blue, knee length dress. It had stars on the sleeves, which stopped at the elbows, around the hem of the skirt and on the U shaped neck. It also came with a cream colored belt.

"Isn't it cute? I can even put my keys on the belt!" She sequeled.

"What are those keys any ways?" I asked.

She looked shocked for a few seconds before saying "They're keep sakes from my mother..." looking at them nostalgicly.

"Oh...I'm sorry."

"It's fine, you didn't know."

After about 20 minutes of searching I finally found a light blue, mid thigh dress. It had orange bordered fabric and an orange ribbon.

As we went to pay for our dresses, I noticed a young woman with long white hair standing at the registure. She looked a bit like one of the girls in my class, I think her name was Lisanna.

"Hello Lucy and..." she trailed off.

"Levy..." I say.

"I see, so you're the one every body's been talking about. I'm Mira Jane Drayer by the way, me and my husband, Laxus, live just down the street from you guys." She gave me a huge smile.

"It's nice to meet you and what do you mean..?" I asked. 'Why would any body be talk king about me? Let alone every body?!'

"Not only are you a new resident, but you stood up to Gajeel-kun and walked away without a scratch." She smirked.

"I didn't do any thing! If any thing it was him the perv! Fuckin' smelling me!" I yell. They just looked at me, obviously not expecting me to yell or curse.
