Percy had only a passing relationship with annabeth and the taurtarus thing was that the ground had cracked underneath both of them.
The gods have a much closer relationship with the demigods due to one of Percy's wishes. He got four wishes. One was that the gods have better relationships with their children. Two was that hades hestia and hecate got thrones. Third was that the peaceful titans like Rhea and Calipso were released. He still has his fourth wish.
