Two days had passed since my return to the palace. At all times I have avoided Shawn because I am not ready to talk to him.

Shawn was almost always in his office locked up so that no one would disturb him.

From what he heard from the maids whenever they came into that room to bring something to her majesty, Shawn was surely crying and getting drunk to ease his sorrows.

Now I was walking down the hallway on the second floor of the palace. The moment I have to pass in front of the door of his office I stop. I lean on it and I can hear some of her sobs as he says my name accompanied by the word "sorry." I decide to keep walking and leave like a coward who does not want to face the true reality and talk to him to clarify everything that happened the last time they saw each other in that church.

He walked briskly to the meadow where both Apollo and Athena were grazing.

I open the gate to enter the interior of the meadow and I see how Apollo begins to walk up to me the moment he sees me. I start to caress her as I watch Athena approach us slowly.

I move my arm to my back pocket to grab some sugar cubes that I was carrying to feed him.

First I give one to Apollo and then I walk in the direction of Athena. At first when she sees me close to her she moves away from me, but when I offer her two sugar cubes in my hand, she walks up to me and starts eating them while I caress her head and from what I think she is liking the feeling of my caresses on his head.

After a few minutes I decide to go back inside the palace to order that they start preparing lunch.

1 hour later

The maids were serving my lunch while I looked at the empty place where Shawn sat.

I decide to wait about ten minutes for him, but since I see that he does not appear, I decide to start lunch, but first I call a maid to go tell His Majesty that he can come down to eat.

The minutes passed and Shawn still did not appear in the dining room.

After finishing lunch I decide to continue waiting for him, but he still did not appear. I decide to walk to his office. When I get to this I knock on the door and it tells me to pass. The moment I enter the room, Shawn watches me and immediately wipes the tears that were running down his cheeks.

-Lunch is already served - I tell him and he nods while looking at some papers that were on his desk.

-I'm not hungry - he tells me and I decide to go to his desk.

-Shawn, you have to eat something, you haven't eaten since last night - I sit in a chair that was in front of him.

-Carla, I'm really not hungry - he tells me with a calm tone, but something serious.

At that moment I decide to call a maid and order him to bring the king's lunch up to his office.

During those minutes neither of them spoke. Shawn kept looking at the papers while I looked at the pictures that were on the walls and among them I could find a photo of the two of us. When the maid arrived with the food, I indicated that she could leave.

-If you are not going to eat of your own free will, then you will do it by force - I tell him as I pick up some meat with a fork, I place it in front of the seal and force it to open it and then begins to chew. He motioned for her to open her mouth to see if she had swallowed it, which was confirmed.

-It's fine now, as of my own will - he says now, grabbing the fork that was in my hands and starting to eat.

-Shawn - he looks me straight in the eye- I want to fix everything once and for all.

- What do you mean - he says and then I start another piece of his food.

-I want us to start from scratch and forget about the past - I tell him and now he begins to smile.

-Thanks for giving me another chance - he tells me at the same time that he gets up to walk up to me and kneels in front of me.

-Shawn, get up - I say laughing and he kisses my feet - Shawn!

-I love you so much Carla - she says now starting to hug me.

-I love you too Shawn- I say and then we part.

We stared at each other for a few minutes directly in the eyes, little by little our faces got closer until the moment our lips meet.

For a few minutes we were distributing kisses and mutual caresses full of affection and especially love.

-How about taking a walk with Apollo and Athena? - Shawn asks me and I start to smile like a girl who is offered to play her favorite game with her.

-I would love to, but you take Athena - I say pointing to him as if he was threatening him.

Shawn calls one of the employees to start getting Apollo and Athena ready for a ride.

When it comes to notify us that they are ready, we begin to walk to the barn.

Upon reaching the stable we could see Apollo and Athena ready to start our walk. Shawn gets on Athena with a little help while I smoothly climb Apollo.

-How I missed this- I say as I grab Apollo's bridle to signal him to start walking and see how Shawn imitates my action in Athena.

We both talked the whole way. We decided to stop when we got to a lake so the horses could drink and we could get some rest from sitting in those uncomfortable chairs.

I am dumbfounded when I see Shawn offering Apollo and Athena some affection. I walk over to them and rest my head on Shawn's shoulder.

-It seems that you have taken some affection - I tell him and he kisses me on my cheek.

-Apolo was a great support during the days that you were away from me - he begins to say - and I know he is a horse, but you could tell that he missed you too, but it seems to me that he already found love in someone - this last he says in my ear and I start to laugh.
