Ginny's POV

Flashback time...

"Mum, have you seen my jumper?" I asked, bounding down the stairs. "Yes dear, it was on the cat." Mum replied, shouting up at me. When I looked down, I saw two boys were sitting at the table. One of them had bright ginger hair and was talking with a mouthful of food. My brother, Mr Ronald Weasley. The other one had untidy, jet-black hair. He turned round and grinned at me, and I jumped, snapping out of my dreamy staring and ran up the stairs, my cheeks burning. I ran into my room and slammed the door, locking it with my key. I slammed all my clothes into my already half-packed trunk and sighed. Rummaging through my secret floorboard, I grabbed a frame and and stared at the roughly cut photo, taken out of a  magazine. There he was. Harry, my crush since Ron first talked about him. I threw the frame back into the floorboard and sighed. He would never go for someone like me. I ran down the stairs where the whole family was standing, by the fireplace. And then I realised; I had forgotten my jumper.

Present day

"...So Ginny, what I'm saying is you need to wear this one, not that one, because really, he'll be thinking you'll go for that one, but REALLY you need to go for that one, OK?" Hermione babbled, holding up two hangers, one containing a small, slinky dark blue dress and a long, floor-length black, tight dress.
"Yeah yeah whatever Hermione. It doesn't matter that much anyway. He's just taking me up to dinner." I gabbled, grabbing the blue dress. "I was talking about the black one, Ginny. Weren't you listening?" She sighed. "You know, sometimes you're worst than Ron!" She teased. I mimed mock horror, clapping my hand to my mouth, eyes wide. "I'll have you know that Ronald Weasley is a..." The door was barged open and you could hear someone chewing noisily. Bright ginger hair poked from the door and then the rest of him emerged, scruffy in jeans and t-shirt. "RONALD WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU BARGE IN HERE. GET OUT! GET OUT!" Hermione shrieked. She punctuated the last out with a levitating spell, pushing him out of the room. She locked the door and cast Muffiliato. "Oi! Harry wants you to hurry up. That's all." He grumbled, pounding on the door. "Women," he muttered.
"Come on Ginny, take the dress. We still have to do your makeup! I'll get Luna, Katie and Angelina in a moment. I quickly slipped into the dress and raced down stairs, clutching my wand tightly. "Hey, beautiful," Harry was waiting at the bottom of the stairs, smiling at me. I stopped so suddenly I nearly fell down the stairs. He was the famous Harry Potter and he chose me! I jumped down the stairs two at a time and threw myself into his arms. "You Ok, sweetheart?" He murmured, in my ear. "Sweetheart?" I questioned. He grinned. "Thought I would try it. How was it?" I cocked my head to one side. "Let's work on it!" I grinned. "C'mon, dinner!" He said, pulling away. I sighed; the moment was mesmerising, I wish I could have stayed there all day. He took my hand, squeezed it tight, and we headed to the front door. "By dears!" Mrs Weasley called from the kitchen. We grabbed our fire bolts (Harry had bought me one for my 20th birthday) and headed outside. I casted a quick disillusionment charm so the muggles couldn't see us and we sped off into the night, racing each other as we went.

When we arrived at the restaurant we were extremely windswept. I gave him a quick peck on the cheek and grabbed his hand, pulling him inside. I put our broomsticks in my bag; it had an undetectable charm on it, and we took our places in the muggle restaurant. For some reason Harry looked nervous. He kept glancing up at me and then, when he saw I was looking, quickly away again. When he ordered some champagne, the waiter glanced at his scar, but said nothing. I grinned at him, hoping for a response, but he was looking at his muggle thingy-ma-Bob. I remember him telling me it was a moblee tone. Then, all of a sudden, I felt myself get angry, really angry. "Harry!" I suddenly said, making him jump, "Harry, what's got into you?" I whisper-shouted. He finally jerked his head up and his eyes were full of sorrow. "I'm so sorry Ginny. I just want this night to be perfect." He grinned at me, but I stared stonily at him. "Why?" I questioned coldly. "Because..." he said, standing up and the getting down on one knee. "Because, Ginny Weasley, the moment I saw you, lying there in the chamber, I thought you were dead. And when I thought you were, it ripped through me like fire. I knew I never wanted to spend another moment without you by my side. I watched through the years as you had many more boyfriends, and it nearly killed me. I am the luckiest man in the world to even be near you." He grinned up at me, and took a small box out of his pocket. "So, Ginerva Molly Weasley, will you do me the honours: Will you marry me?" I gasped, and his face fell. "I... I know you won't want to..." I put a finger to his lips and nodded. Then I kissed him. I kissed him with fire and water and the earth and the sky. He was my world. When we looked up, we saw all the muggles grinning at us. A brown haired, broad shouldered man with a short goatee came up and clapped Harry on the back. I looked at the stranger and he transformed in front of my eyes. "Ron?" I asked. "My little Gin Gin." He grinned at me and pulled me into a hug. "Aww, thanks Won Won," I said, causing him to blush furiously and turn away. As I looked round the room, I saw all the people transform into close friends and families. Even the paintings on the wall revealer Lupin, Tonks and Fred staring down at us. "Way to go Prongs Junior!" Sirius shouted. At that moment, I couldn't imagine I could be happier.
