𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬

I stared at the ceiling, thinking about a certain (H/c) haired, blue eyed boy, specifically my best friend.

I couldn't sleep no matter how hard I've tried. Everytime I closed my eyes, all I could remember was his smile while he played my favorite song. The way he sang the song with his deep voice, and the part where he needed my help.

"What's going on Kusuo? I thought you were asexual."  I thought to myself as I sat up, resting my back against my headboard.

I sat there for another hour staring at the wall in front of me as I daydreamed of Y/n and I's friendship, which I really wanted to be more than what it is.

This is the first time I ever felt like this. Butterflies in my stomach, his appearance taking my breath away as he passes by, my heart hammering against the cages of my ribs, and many, many more.

Out of boredom, my hand unconsciously moved to get my phone which was beside me. A message popped up on my screen as soon as I opened my phone. Shocked I clicked it and read Y/n message.

I quickly got up and grabbed a t-shirt and some jeans, I didn't need a jacket but I didn't want to worry Y/n, so I grabbed a thin black one and ran out of my house.

I knew I should've just teleported, but I wanted to run. And I only run for important people.

"You're early Kuu-chan." He teased as soon as I arrived,

"You're early too n/n."  I replied, walking towards him, "Now, why did you call me here?"

He chuckled and grabbed my hand, dragging me towards a field of grass, and as we passed by, fireflies flew up.

The shine of their lights reflected on his deep blue ones. His eyes were the only ones I have ever seen that were that blue, it's like the ocean, but also like the night sky filled with stars.

"Beautiful right?" He waved his hand in front of him, a smile on his face as he danced on the grass.

Yes, I am afraid of bugs, but seeing him smiling made the thought crawl out as soon as he laughed and smiled at me.

"Not as beautiful as you." I turned around trying to conceal my smile that he probably already saw,

"Kusuo, can you dance with me?" I turned towards him and nodded. He walked towards me, taking off his shoes.

"What are you doing? You're gonna get hurt!" I scold him and he just shook his head,

"Don't worry about that, I'm wearing socks." I rolled my eyes at his reply, but took off mine too.

"You're such a pain." I say as I put his and my shoes a few feet away from us, next to his backpack which he always brought with him wherever he went.

"If I were a pain, then you wouldn't have agreed to be here with me." He says as he played a song on his phone.

"Thank you for being me here with you Y/n, it's beautiful." I say as we swayed to the rhythm of the song. His chin is placed on my shoulder,

"No, thank you." He whispers sending chills down my spine,

"For what?"

"For saving me."
