Short lived romance

It's prom day and me and my girl friends are getting ready at my house. By the time we all had dresses on and makeup done it was 2:38 and time for photos. I am dressed in my dream dress and my sister Alice had done my makeup. My dress was a periwinkle blue with off the shoulder straps and a large skirt. It has flower accessories all over it, I was told I looked like a princess. We spent 30 minutes taking photos then got in our transport- an old fashioned bus that was painted blue and purple.
As we were close to pulling up at the beautiful forest castle we began to get ready for even more photos. I was last to exit the bus and when I did it went silent. " why is everyone staring? Is there something on my face?!" I whispered to Jaz who was standing next to me. " no it's just that you look beautiful and no offence but you look a lot better than when you are at school." She whispered back. I walked round to the front of the bus where photos were taken then we went inside where we met "the boys". They were all gasping at how pretty we all looked and each of them snatched one of us for a dance. We had a lot of fun but after the meal they all settled down.
Alex asked me if he wanted to dance, I had had a huge crush on this tall handsome man for a while now. He has chocolate brown hair that showed streaks of gold in certain lights- his eyes were like the new leaves on a tree in the spring and he had the kindest heart on earth.
We walked out onto the dance floor as the song changed to perfect by Ed Sheeran and suddenly his arms were around my waist and we danced keeping eye contact for around 10 seconds.
"You know I've like you since I moved here" he said in a quiet voice in my ear. "The only reason I said no when you asked me out was because I needed to focus on studying" my mind had gone blank and my mouth had refused to work. "Would you like to step outside you feel very very warm?" He whispered to me, "yes if that's alright I feel a bit faint".
He walked me out with his strong arm around my waist. Then when we sat outside I did something I never thought I could or would do. I turned his face towards me and kissed him. Alex's lips were soft and warm and it felt like heaven. As I pulled away, we froze his arms on my lower waist and mine on his chest and on his cheek. "Wow" he said so I let go and shuffled away a bit saying " I'm sorry I didn't mean... I just... it didn't... I couldn't help myself" he stood up and pulled me up with hands on my lower back he kissed me passionately. I let him.
When we finally stopped I said " so dose that mean I can finally get your number?" We laughed and when it was time to go I went to his place. And we watched a movie then I fell asleep in his arms.
