chapter 2 The run

Wave(p.o.v)

We all gathered infront of the pack house waiting on the lalim(old aplha) and the queen mother (old luna) I could see the level of excitement on my best friends face her eyes were the weirdest shade of green but also very beautiful her hair was a bright shade of brown with curls that bounced on her waist I could swear that she was the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on. my attention was drawn back by the loud charring of our pack,real and I were both far behind so we literally had to stand on our toes to get a better view. We were welcomed by The lalim and the Queen mother, he immediately raised his hands up to silence the crowd and it worked, it was so quiet I could hear real's heart beat."welcome" I heard him say " today you members of the grahimar pack join me here to celebrate the welcoming of the new alpha" the crowd began to howl with excitment and I joined in feeling so excited " it has been said that those who run alone run to win but those who run with a pack run not only to win but also run for a purpose " he continued smiling at his mate " I want you all to run with my son in his race to protect you all and also to bring justice,and today we demonstrate that with the annual race " growl's of anticipation were heard from the whole pack "and I present to you all the new alpha of the grahimar pack " he said gesturing to the direction as to which his son is to walk out from and to that we all went down on one knee bowing our head as a sign of loyalty and respect "you scent so nice " real whispered to me sniffing my shirt "what" I asked her trying to understand her " your scent it's Lovely" she said whispering to me again and that's when it hit me she was scenting her mate I turned to inform her but stopped myself grinning wanting to see how this is going to play out "this is going to be interesting" my wolf dahlia said. And with that statement i smiled at myself turning to look at a really excited real  . "Stand" I heard the alpha command we all stood on our foot looking at our new alpha and that when I noticed how he was staring at the crowd with wide eyes as if looking for someone and that's when it clicked real was the alpha's mate I turned to look at real who was busy trying to tie her shoelace properly i tap her gesturing her to look up she did as she was told and looked at what was infront of her I could see how real and the alpha were locked in a heated gaze I smiled at myself giving myself a high five for helping the two. People began to look back wandering what has gotten thy alpha's  attention, I shoved my right shoulder at real, she broke her gaze with him looking at the ground I laughed at how shy she was as if taken aback by my gesture too the alpha blinked rapidly pulling his attention back to the crowd. " Sooooo" I said to her shaking her shoulders with my hand "soooo" she replied back looking at me as if just realizing that I just witnessed her and the alpha's  intense moment "the alpha hun" I said looking at her "what it's nothing " she said trying to cover her pink stained cheeks "ok then I think you might want to fix your eyes" I said to her pointing my hands at her eyes which were still her wolf color green "my eyes" she said with a shock expression not realizing were I was getting at " green looks good on you " I said back at her giving her a smug look "fuck"she said cursing as realization filled her face. So basically your wolf's color shine through you eyes anytime you are angry, worried,scared or lustful and in her condition I knew it was the last one. We were  drawn back to the talking alpha "Am not going to  waste your time, I am glad you all could join me today, and am very happy to  meet you and also get to know you " he said
Looking at real while saying the last part " pretty sure he isn't referring to us" my wolf commented "today I want you all to run with me in the annual race as your new alpha " the crowd was filled with howling and clapping.

Everyone that wanted to participate in the race had already shifted into their wolf with the alpha infront leading them, we who didn't want to participate were at the side cheering I could spot real's grey wolf from where I was standing, she was beautiful, I could also see the alpha constantly glancing back to have a good look at her not only him but also some of the unmated Wolf's, I would have to if I was a guy I mean she stood out in a good way, the alpha growled gesturing for them to get ready and immediately he took off into the forest with his pack behind him.

I stood there with real's coth in my hand wandering when they were going to get back, I was tired of waiting, and the people who didn't participate in the run were either too  old or haven't shifted yet and then  there was me, I could see the stares people gave me I guess wandering why I didn't participate in the run "hey" I heard a guy say calling my attention, he was hot like mouth watering hot but he wasn't my mate " I thought I was the only one who didn't participate in the run and then I saw you " he said smiling at me "how can you say that look around " I said smiling, he laughed at my little joke " I meant heathy one" "I think that's a little harsh on the elderly" I said giggling " am jake by the way " he said giving me a a hand to shake "am wave" I said taking it, grinning from ear to ear " so why didn't you run? " I asked trying to bring up little talk "am the alpha's beta so I had to hold his cloth for him" he said gesturing to the cloth in his hand which I didn't even notice "you?" He asked "Same but for my friend" I said raising real clothes up we were cut short when someone announced that they were coming the alpha ran in first followed by the rest I could see real trying to sniff me out "which one is yours" jake said looking at the wolf's "the grey one" I replied smiling at real who was walking towards us "she's beautiful" he said staring at her " yeah " I replied. Real bent down shaking her head she was trying to tell me to touch her head I smiled at her and did as she wished "good girl" I said to her bending down she snatched her cloth from my hand and ran towards the forest to change with the clothes in her mouth I was surprised at her sudden reaction, I looked at her run and turned my head to to the big black wolf heading my way now I knew why she ran she was shy. I bent down at the alpha showing my loyalty along with his beta we both stood up at the same time " take them" the beta said handing the alpha his clothes, he also went away to change.

"Where is he" real said heading my way "who?" I asked as if not knowing who she was talking about. Jake left me to go and check on the alpha so I was standing Alone again. "Alpha jackson" she said " I don't know am not the one who ran out on him" " I didn't run I went to change" she said trying to defend herself. " So who was that guy with you he was hot" "I know right his the alpha's beta " I said giving her dreamy eyes she laughed at me "maybe if you ran he would have seen how beautiful you are" she said smiling at me "nooo you are beautiful I am weird" I said gesturing to myself
"Ouch" I heard my wolf say I smiled at her attempt of trying to fake being hurt, "I love your wolf color you are like the moon" immediately she said said that I felt hurt real didn't know the real reason why I haven't shifted so I didn't blame her for saying that "hey" we heard the alpha call we both turned to his direction "excuse me " I said leaving them alone this was wasn't a run for the pack, it was real run actually it was there run.

Don't worry you are going to be seeing alot about wave in the next chapter this is just the introduction so I have to explain everything and also yess you will be seeing alot of wave's mate his going to come up
