Chapter 2

Sidharth knew that she is very much serious in getting him married within this year . While he prefers dying rather than falling into this trap of marriage . After meeting his mom he dropped preeti to the university and drove towards his work place where he met his best friends Kushal and Jay sipping coffee in his cabin .

K:- Kya huwa ?? Subah Kai waqt Teri shakal par bara Kyun baje huwe hain ??

J:- (chuckled) I swear man Aisa lag raha hai jaise tune koi bhoot dekh liya Ho

Ss:- (passed them death glare) hogaye Bakwaas ?? Ab Dafah hojao dono Iske pehle Tum dono ki jaan lailoon .

J:- sorry Yaar ab bata Kya huwa ?? (Worriedly)

Ss:-(running his fingers inside his hair frustratingly) wahi Maa ki hamesha wali zid shaadi karlo Pata nahi unko samajh main Kyun nahi ata that I hate this bloody word "MARRIAGE"

K:- Abey itna stress Kyun lairaha hai ?? Simple reject kardaina ladki 😂

J:- Aunty ko koi ladki pasandh agaye hai ? (Frown)

Ss:-(shook his head) Abhi tak toh nahi Lekin Aaj woh jarahe hain Punjab Kisi friend ki beti ki engagement main ... Kya Pata unko koi phasa lai apne over sweet bataun main ?? You know these middle class girls they are soo freaking cunning 😕

K:- (sighed) bro not every girl is same !!

J:- Not every girl is behind a rich man ...

Ss:-(snorted) well as per my experience every girl is behind money especially middle class girls .. Ab Tum dono ki Bakwaas hogaye Ho toh get back to work

Kushal and Jay left rolling their eyes at him for always judging girls based on his terrible past . They every well know that he isn't gonna change his point of view which has been set in his mind since childhood . Miserable past experiences leave huge scars in ones mind , heart , body and soul which can't be healed quickly .It takes a lot of hard work , patience , love and trust to fill the wounds .

Amritsar (engagement day)

Shehnaaz gets ready in a beautiful simple lehenga with a very little makeup and kept her long hair open giving it a slight wavy look paired with cute jhumkas .

After getting ready they reached the venue where she greets all the relatives . While proceeding towards the bride room she noticed an old lady holding her head it looked like she might lose her conciousness anytime due to which she ran towards her giving her the support to stand .

Sana:- Aunty Kya huwa ?? Aap theek toh hain ?? (Worriedly)

Rita ji nodded her head while naaz helped her sitting on the couch . She took the glass of water from the waiter helped her in drinking along with medicines which she gestured her to take out from her handbag .

Sana:- Aunty ab Kaisa lag raha hai ?? I hope your feeling ... Agar aap ko Abhi chakar araha hai to main aap ko Clinic lekar jasakte hoon Yahin pass main hai (anxiously)

Ritaji widely smiled at her cute innocent nature cause she is feeling much better after having her medicines but still this girl is feeling soo worried that too for a stranger .

R:-(cupped her face) beta main Bilkul theek hoon thank you soo much Meri help karne Kai liye ... Tera naam Kya hai ??

Sana:-(smiled) Shehnaaz pyaar sai sab sanu bulate hain aur Aunty aap ko thank you Bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai Maine toh Kuch bhi nahi kiya :)

R:-(kissed her forehead) Bohut pyaare bache Ho ❤️

After giving her food Shehnaaz excused herself when Rita ji asked her friend about this lovely girl . She felt extremely awful knowing about her dead parents and they way she is being harshly treated by her maama maami . Her heart goes out to this sweet innocent angel who only deserves the best .

Finally , she found a beautiful , innocence , sweet and naive girl for her Sidharth . Both of them gonna look so perfect together . Before leaving Punjab she will visit her house with her son's proposal .

After the engagement ceremony , everyone gathered around for a dance while naaz sneaks out of the hall went out side sat on the bench . She kept looking at the stars which are shining and glittering under darkness .

Suddenly , someone grabbed her hand it was none other than maami whose litreally digging her nails inside her skin .

Sana:- Ahhh amma plxxx choriye ... (Pleaded)

M:- Tu Yahan Kya kar rahi hai ?? Bola tha na andar reh kar ladkaun Kai saath dance kar takai koi tujh par fidaa hokar tujhse shaadi kare aur Hamare jaan choot jaye ... (Yelled)

Sana:- mami ji plxxx Mujhe pasandh nahi apne numaish karna (cried)

M:-(fisted her hair) tujhse poch Kisne hai huh ?? Jitna bola jaye utna kar warna hum sai bura koi nahi hoga ...

Shehnaaz reluctantly nodded her head due to which she left her hair jerking it away making her cry out in pain . Rita ji stood there witnessing the entire incident with utmost hate and anger . She just couldn't tolerate the sight infront of her eyes due to which she proceeded towards naaz making her stand on her feets .

R:- beta Tu theek hai ?? (Worriedly)

Shehnaaz closed her eyes sobbing like a baby cause this is the first time someone stood beside her ...

M:- aap Kaun hain ?? Behtar hoga aap door rahain .. Kyunke yeh Hamare ghar ka mamla hai .

R:- Mera naam Rita shukla hai aur yeh Meri hone wali bahu hai (sternly)

Shehnaaz stood there astonished unable to believe her ears while Rita ji smiled at her making maami furious ...

M:- yeh Kya Bol rahi hain aap ? Humne kab aap ko Iska rishta diya ??

R:- Kal subah main aungi Iska rishta maangne tab tak yeh aap Kai pass mere Sidharth ki amanat hai ... (Side hugged naaz)
