Chapter 1: The Letter

It's a Sunday morning, you are sleeping peacefully when all of a sudden you are awoken by your mother knocking on your door. You sit up and rub your eyes. Your mother calls out "y/n hurry up and get up, we have news!" You think to yourself, "what news could she possibly have?" You shrug it off and head to the bathroom, you wash your face then head to your wardrobe, you pick out a sundress with small flowers on it. You hurry and put it on, you then brush your teeth & brush your hair.

You walk down to the dinning room where your parents are sitting, they have a letter in there hands. "Y/n! Come sit, your father & I have great news!" Says your mother. You sit at the end of the table, your mother passes a envelope, you open the envelope & inside
reads.

Dear miss y/n y/l/n

We are pleased to inform you have been accepted into Hogwarts school of witchcraft & wizardry. In closed in this letter is a list of supplies you will need for your year at Hogwarts.
The school year starts September 1st, we await your arrival.

After you read your letter, you have the biggest smile on your face, your mother and father are purebloods & are very well known in the wizarding world. They have told you many times before that at the age of 11 you were certain to receive your Hogwarts letter. Since then you have been eagerly awaiting the day it came. You take the list out of the envelope & hand it to your mother, even tho your the one going to Hogwarts your parents seem more excited then you. Your mother reads the list & says "well we best be going & getting these, we wouldn't want to leave it to the last minute, would we?" You shake your head. You run upstairs & grab your cardigan & put it on, you hurry downstairs to the fire where your parents are standing.

You take a handful of flue powder & say very clearly "diagonalley". In seconds your arrive there & soon behind you are your parents. You take your mothers hand & go get all your supplies. While in the book store getting your books your mother & father run into a platinum blonde man and a lady with black & white hair. "Lucius, narcissa! How lovely to see you both" your mother says to the man and women, your mother says "this is my daughter, y/n, she's going into her first year" you put your hand out and shake the mans hand. "Hello" you say as you shake his hand, "hello, y/n" he says back. The women then pulls you into a hug and says "hello darling, you look just like your mother!" She says. Well it's true, you were basically your mothers twin, wherever you went people always would say how much you look like your mother. When your mother was about to say something back, a young boy with platinum blonde hair comes over and says "mother, father I have my books" Lucius looks at him and says "now, draco, cant you see your mother and I are talking?" He says firmly. The boy then looks over at you & says "I'm malfoy, draco malfoy" you reach out and shake his hand. "Y/l/n, y/n y/l/n, please to meet you." You say.

Your mother & father continue talking to narcissa & Lucius, so you take this as a opportunity to look around the store, you look at all the books, the ones that interest you most are about potions, just as you were about to start reading your mother calls you "y/n, dear we best be going now! It's getting to lunch time." She says. You walk over and take her hand, you say bye to the Malfoy's and leave.

While eating your lunch your mother says "now, y/n, later we will pack your luggage, we wouldn't want you to leave it till last minute" she says. You nod and continue eating. Your mother helps you pack, while packing your mother tells you all about her time at Hogwarts. You are now even more excited to attend, your mother & father have told you all about the different houses & expect you to get slytherin like the both of them, as you are an only child it's up to you to continue the generation of slytherin.

It's now just 2 days till you leave for Hogwarts, you and your mother are now getting in all the shopping trips you can before you leave as you won't be doing any shopping till the winter break. Your now packing some extra clothes in your suitcase as you are staying for the whole year and will need as much clothes as you can fit. Later at dinner your mother & father are talking about the Malfoy family, your mother and father seem to think you and the malfoys son will be great friends, as for you though, you aren't quite sure. Even though you would prefer to be friends with girls as you think being friends with boys is weird, as you are only 11 and still very immature.

It's now the day you leave for hogwarts, you wake up to the sun beaming into your room, you excitedly get up and skip to the bathroom to wash your face. Whilst picking out an outfit your mother comes and reminds you that you leave in 3 hours.

You pick out your outfit (this is your outfit) and put it on.

Once ready you excitedly skipped downstairs & eat some breakfast. Whilst eating your mother goes over your list of things you need, she checks them off for the millionth time this week. Even tho it's annoying, you know she just wants you to be ready. Soon enough it's now 10:49am, your mother, father & you flue powder travel to kings cross. Your father takes your things to the train and gives them to the people loading the train. It's now 6 minutes till the train leaves, you say goodbye to your parents, whilst boarding the train you turn back & wave one last time to your parents. You find an empty carriage & sit in it, you take out a book and begin to read. Soon enough the train starts moving, you are then joined by 3 boys, 2 you don't recognise but 1 you do, he's the one and only draco malfoy, you remember him from the book store. He introduces his friends, there names are very strange, Crabe & Goyle, you and the 3 boys talk for a few hours before you reach hogwarts.
