Back To You {Bakugou x Reader}

Chapter 1

"So that's it then?" you scoff, " Three years down the drain as if it never happened?".

You glare at your boyfriend Katsuki Bakugou who won't look you in the eyes. "Well?". You are at his apartment that he shared with the Bakusquad: Kirishima, Denki, and Sero. He had called you to come over because he wanted to talk to you, but you never expected that he would be breaking up with you.

"It's not like that y/n . I need to focus on being the number one hero and I can't have any distractions." Bakugou said.

"So i'm a distraction now? Are you for real?" you yell.

"That's not what i meant." he said.

He met your hard gaze as he saw a single tear slip down your face. You quickly wiped it away. " If I want to be number one I can't have any weaknesses. If we are together they can use you to get to me and I would never forgive my self if something happened to you."

"I don't need your protection" you shot back. " I can take care of myself ! You don't need to push me away!"

He has always been self destructive to a certain extent, you thought to yourself. But this is a new level.

"I'm not going to change my mind y/n. I don't want you to get hurt because of me. It's over."

He said turning his back to you. It's over. Those words shot through your heart like a bullet. You never expected the man who was head over heels for you in every way would be the one to tear your heart in two.

" You are such a coward." you say with a stone cold demeanor. " Is being the number one hero more important than me?" you ask.

Bakugou didn't respond.

" Well? If it is tell me so I can stop wasting my time crying over you."

You stood up and got in his face, staring at his crimson eyes . "Answer. My. Question." you whispered.

"Yes." he replied "Being number one has been my goal since I was a child. I won't change it. Even for you."

You backed away from him in disbelief. Your body swirled with anger as you raised your hand. You shot an earthquake at him, hard enough to make him stumble into the wall and slide onto the floor.

"I hate you" you said, although that was nothing but a lie. You grabbed your phone and keys off of the bed. " If you ever talk to me again. I'll kill you."

You gave him one last look as you blasted the bedroom door open and walked out. You storm past Kirishima, Denki, and Sero who watch you stomp through their apartment on your way out. Before you leave you tear off the key to their apartment and dropped it on the floor. You slam the door and stand outside for a second. Your heart was palpitating as your emotions were changing from sad to angry, to confused and then back to angry. You got in your car and sat there in utter shock. As tears began to roll down your face you tried to compose yourself but it didn't work. You and Bakugou both had a hard time sharing emotions but you both still worked well together. You knew that whenever one of you cried about anything, it was very important. You tried to wipe your tears away but every time you did a new one would take it's place.

"He's not worth your tears" you yelled to yourself trying to calm down. "Crying is for the weak. Stop it."

Although you tried to encourage yourself you couldn't help but weep. You were heartbroken by the one person in this world you trusted. Even the strongest people in the world would cry after a heartbreak no matter they say. You buckled your seatbelt and turned on the car. You always listen to music when you drive but this time you drove in silence.
