Awkward....

Splash's POV:
Things were going ok... We did go to the cafe and that was nice. We had BP and Skater split the bill because of the fight earlier. "Y/N~ how do you like this "date" you're having~?" I heard Lillie whisper that to Y/N and us nerds started to giggle a little. The jocks.... Well... They're confused. "Hey punks! Whatcha talking about?" Undyne was surprisingly chill with us. Paulie grabbed Undyne's shoulder and whispered the same thing to her. Undyne started laughing like she had heard the best joke in a long time. She started to point at Y/N and gave them a certain look. That was a fun day.

Many days and group hangouts later:

Us nerds and the jocks were surprisingly good friends considering our titles at school. I guess us nerds really are different. (Roll credits!-) We all went to a few events together and one day, as October started creeping by, we went to an Amusement park that was kind of like a state fair. It had a Halloween theme to it and it was perfect for some scaring. It was a Saturday at 3:30 pm, where things were still busy but not as much. We walked around, playing games, going on rides. However, Paulie did get a bit sick and she ended up puking after getting off a really fast ride. I volunteered to take her home but Lillie said she could do it because she had to go to a sports meeting anyway. So Lillie took Paulie home and I stayed with everyone else. We kept on playing games and actually made a few new friends. They didn't go to the same school as us but that was fine. "I'ma have to dip. Staking practice with a few of my buddies at the skate park. Bye guys! Bye nerds!" Skater then left while riding on her skateboard. "Why does she keep calling us nerds? She knows our names." Y/N was a bit confused. A bit later though, BP said he had to go. "Gotta help my roomie with their homework." "Ha! Sucks to be you!" "Ashley, are you still salty about them...?" "Yes Y/N. Yes I am."  Y/N playfully punches Ashley and Ashley sticks her tongue out. BP leaves and we wave goodbye. Well.... Most of us.... Either way, Ashley whispered something into my ear and I agreed to what she said. Undyne got the message as well. "Hey Y/N? Ashley, Undyne, and I are gonna go get caramel apples. You two can go play. We have.... Uhhhhh...... A school project to do..." I hate lying... Y/N gave me a suspicious look but PJ grabbed their arm and said "Alright! Hey Y/N, wanna go to the haunted house?" They flinch from the sudden movement and they nod. "Have fun you two lovebirds!" Undyne shouts after them. "DAMNIT UNDYNE! WE'RE NOT DATING!!" PJ screams. I can see a small version of Y/N shaking their head as they drag PJ away.

Inside the haunted house...
Y/N's POV:
Oh god... Why do I feel like something's gonna happen that's gonna make our friendship skyrocket- (hits you No 4th wall breaking!!) Uh.... We enter after a very confusing conversation with the ticket stand. "Can we go inside?" "Do you have tickets?" "I thought we were supposed to pay for those here??" "Uhhhh.... No. Just gimme the tickets and you can go in." "Just let us in." "Then pat me." "Pat you?!" "Ye. Pat me."
....
"That ticket dude was weird..." PJ laughs a bit and I slouch a bit, feeling defeated. "So.... Many.... Pats......." "Well Y/N, if it makes you feel any better, we can finally go through this haunted house your friends wanted us to do." I look at him for a bit before entering.
Just a second after we entered, a guy with a bloody sack tried to chase us. I stood there, frozen. Why can't I move?! Move you stupid legs! MOVE! I feel someone's hand grab my wrist and I try to break free. "Stop Struggling! I'm gonna get us away from them!" I didn't care about the voice. I just cared about the hand that was clenching my wrist. "It hurts! Let- let go of me!" I kept looking in the other direction so I didn't know who it was. Suddenly, the grip on my hand loosens and I fall to the floor. "Aw jeez... I'm sorry Y/N..." I finally look up to see PJ standing next to me. He holds out his hand but I get up on my own. "It's....... It's fine.... Let's just keep going..." I shake my hands and wince at the pain but I keep walking. PJ walks next to me.

PJ's POV:
I really messed up now.... They won't even look at me..- "Huh?" I feel someone clinging to my arm and I see that it's Y/N. Huh... "You get mad at me for gripping your hand too tight and yet here you are, clinging onto my hand for dear life?" "Oh shut up..." I laugh at how stupid we are. We're in a haunted house, making jokes..! I thought we were supposed to be more scared than joyful.

We keep going down the house and we walked together. I had my hand on their shoulder and they were trying to shake it off. Then all of a sudden, "AHHH!" I screamed like a little girl and jumped into Y/N's arms because there was a man in a bloody mask. We fell. That was something you could probably expect... Wait... I screamed like a girl.... And I..... Oh shit. I hear Y/N laughing as we stay on the ground. I cover my blush under my jacket. They're so cute.... But I embarrassed myself! But... "DAMN WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO CUTE." Y/N's eyes gave me a concerned and confused look. "What did you say...?" "N-Nothing! I didn't say anything at all! Let's just keep going-" "..... Alright then..." They take my hand and we zoom on out of the house. Jeez they're fast. "C'mon! C'mon! Get me out of here!!" We reached the end but then Y/N trips before they catch themselves. "You... You good?" "I... huff huff  I'm... I'm fine..." "Here... Lemme help." I help them up and they look at me tiredly.
*Insert long stare*
I lean in a little bit while they were resting their eyes a bit and...

"Yo whaddup! Chomp chomp broski." "Yo PJ? What the fuck were you doing."

Y/N's POV:
"N-nothing! I was doing- nothing!!" I open my eyes to see Splash pointing a horn at PJ's neck as he holds his hands up in the air. "Woah! What are you guys doing??" "Oh hey punk! We got you a candy apple. PJ was being weird so..." Undyne hands me a candied apple and I take it while giving her a sketchy look. "Thanks but uh.... Splash...? Can you leave him be...?"

Yeet. So, school is really annoying. Anyways, I got consent for Splash x Vintage from Vintage's creator freddy_467 . Thanks senpai! UwU. Either way, in case no one noticed yet, this story is not a lemon. I seriously can't handle writing those. I'm sorry. I actually used one of my 4 braincells this time and now I have a plot. Spoopy month is here so y'all know that there's gonna be a Halloween special. I'll try writing a longer chapter for that but I'm gonna have to say sorry if this doesn't match your expectations.
