Rescue Wolves

The House

It was just a normal day when I went out Into the back yard for a walk, although it has been a little difficult to walk since the incident last fall. I remember running and playing in the woods with my human Avery, and all of a sudden *CLAP* I fell to the ground as a sharp pain pierced through my leg, I fell asleep and when I woke up just for the second I could keep my eyes open i saw Avery sitting with me on her lap, tears running down her face. The next time I opened my eyes I was in the bad place full of needles and scary people I dont know, I usually try to protect my humans when I'm there but this time I could barely move. Avery was holding my paw and crying while the bigger human Jackie was holding her other hand, Avery's brother Chole wasn't there though. When I fell asleep this time it was from a small pain in my other leg the one Avery was holding. I woke up a few hours later and the first thing I saw was Avery it seemed as though she had no more tears left however she was still sniffling next thing I noticed was the pain was all gone from my left front leg but when I went to stand up I couldn't move it or feel it and i just flopped over. At least it made Avery laugh then words i thought I'd never hear came out of her mouth "You silly you cant stand just yet you need to get used to not having a leg first" I think she noticed when my eyes grew wide and my mouth dropped open, because when it did she cuddled up against my stomach and told me it was going to be okay. The vet came in after that but I dont know what she said because I dont have the connection with her that I have with Avery. Then avery helped me up and she held me up as we stumbled back to the car.
      I remember that day like it was yesterday however I have gotten better at walking on my own now, I spot a shadow rustling in the bushes of the woods that it happened in. When a rabbit comes flying out and a small dog it looks like a golden doodle follows it, I run towards them careful not to startle the rabbit more just to get a better view when the doodle attacks it takes out the rabbit quickly and easily with one quick bite at the neck. Thats when I get a bit scared when it spots me, "what are you doing here" the dog said "I umm I just wanted to watch that, umm catch?" I stutter back in response as the dog moves closer. "Well this is our woods" the dog says as it jumps at me I go for a bite barely scraping it trying not to injure it to much seeing how im a big Husky and its a little Golden Doodle, it bites back and scrapes at my face, not noticing my leg is missing it goes in for a finishing bite that would have been really painful if it didn't go for the leg that had been removed a year ago, with the Little dogs fail i was able to pin it to the ground. "Okay okay I give up, nice fight for not having a leg" it said "I'm Remmie I live in the forest, I'm in one of the rescue wolf clans, Tree clan." He said to me as I let him back up. "Whats a rescue wolf, and how are you in it your not a wolf?" I say curiously moving back a bit. Remmie sits down and continues "Its a group of clans compeating for food and territory its called the rescue wolves Named after the 5 wolves who left their pack and took in stary dogs to give them a better life away from kibble and leashes and animal control and most especially this place that i think is only a legend the vet, its been talked about for centuries as a story to scare pups into staying in the woods and away from the human place.
