James Potter had everything. A loving wife, some amazing friends, and he was one of the youngest Aurors ever. Along with Sirius Black, of course. Everyone knew about James Potter and Sirius Black. They had been inseparable since they met on the train to Hogwarts, and Sirius had even come to live with James when his family disowned him. They did everything together, and were quite the double act.
James other best friend was Remus Lupin. He was a lot quieter than both James and Sirius, tending to choose things like reading and studying over pranking and mischief. But that shouldn't fool you. He was incredibly smart, and very gifted in magic, and was often known as the 'brain of the operations'. But Remus had a secret. Once a month, on the night of the full moon, he would turn into a werewolf. Werewolves were known as lesser creatures, ones that didn't deserve rights. But that didn't stop James and Sirius being friends with him. No, in fact, they became animagi for that very reason. And for that Remus would always be grateful.
Yes, James Potter had everything in life. So when his wife lay screaming, crushing James fingers as she gave birth, James couldn't help but wonder if wanting children was such a good idea after all. He could practically hear his bones screeching in agony, and grimaced every time Lily screamed. Sirius and Remus were waiting outside the room, though not one of them was as anxious as James. After what seemed like hours of constant pain, Lily had finally given birth. James soon found himself holding a little girl, her hazel eyes transfixed solely on him. She had a tiny little tuft of ginger hair, and gave a small whimper every time James moved her. His family was now complete. However, no sooner than a few minutes after James had thought that, Lily began screaming in pain again.
"Lily," James fretted, gripping his wifes hand, trying to help her in any way possible, "What's wrong?" Nurses crowded the bed, and James was soon out of view of his wife. And so when he found himself holding a baby boy, he was most surprised. It seemed Lily had had twins. The cute baby boy had piercing green eyes, and a tiny tuft of black hair, that James knew would be as unruly as his own. Twins were most unexpected, but James loved them both equally.
"So Prongs, the news?" he heard Sirius say, and turned to see his long time best friend. Both were beaming brightly as James introduced the children, and Remus couldn't help but awe at the cute boy.
"What are their names Prongs?" Remus breathed, wrapping his finger in the little boys hand.
"We decided on Harry James Potter-"
"And Amara Rose Potter," Lily finished, smiling weakly at them all. She gave an encouraging smile to James, who promptly turned to his two best friends.
"Paddy, would you do the honours of being Amara's godfather? And will you be Harry's godfather Remus?" Remus seemed ecstatic at the question, and Sirius was jumping for joy.
"Yes Prongsie, yes, yes, yes," Sirius cried, him and Remus engulfing James in a hug. Lily grinned at the sight, holding both her precious new babies. Harry had drifted off to sleep, but Amara was staring up at Lily, her eyes wide as Lily shifted her in her arms.
"Your parents would be proud Prongs," Sirius grinned, James grinning back. Yes, they would.

"What, what do you mean? A prophecy," James said worriedly, bouncing baby Amara on his legs. The twins were only a few weeks old, and Dumbledore had called the Potters, along with Sirius and Remus, to his office.
"I am afraid a prophecy has been made. The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark them as his equal, but they will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month die. It fits Amara and Harry I'm afraid," Dumbledore sighs, his blue eyes twinkling as he looks at those sat in front of him.
