Luke Hemmings is an annoying little fuck. But he likes me. How?

I'm the nerd with the high grades and the sweaters and glasses but he's the captain of the Lacrosse team with the cute face and hair and his abs. He's hot and I don't know why he likes me.

I didn't even know he swung that way.

I had lost Emily in the crowd and I was alone and I kind of wished I'd stayed with Luke but he just annoyed me and made me want to rip my hair out. I don't know what it was that made me dislike him but I did.

I sipped my beer but it was soon knocked from my hands by Emily as she tumbled in to my lap. "Ash, they're playing dares in the basement. Come with me." She giggled and tugged me up from the sofa and through the hormonal and drunk teenagers and to an open door where some stairs were.

I sighed and followed after Emily down the stairs.

Around fifteen people sat in a circle, they were currently playing spin he bottle and I could name a few people in the circle.

Calum Hood.

Jessica Gilbert.

Michael Clifford.

And of course Luke Hemmings.

Luke had spotted me and winked as the bottle landed on him and then a girl climbed in to his lap and kissed Luke sloppily on the lips. She pulled away drunkly and I could see the distaste in Luke's eyes and the evident frown on his face.

He clearly didn't like the girls here. Or in general.

Emily pulled me down in to the circle and the bottle was picked up and the second in command on the Lacrosse team was talking.

"We're playing dares, if you don't do it you get egged." He said and shrugged before sitting down and pulling a girl on his lap. They had been dating for about a year and a half and I thought they were cute together.

The bottle was placed down again and it was spun and the usual "kiss him" or "seven minutes in heaven" or "I dare you to lick the floor" kind of dares until the bottle landed on Luke.

"This isn't a dare but I wanted to know." The girl started, biting her lip, "Are you a Virgin?" She asked Luke.

Luke hesitantly nodded, "I'm waiting for the right person." His response made people laugh but I understood, I was waiting too. But his eyes slid over to me and the girl seemed to notice it making her smirk.

"Raise your hand if you're a virgin" She said loudly.

I raised my hand and my mouth fell open when Emily didn't and she shrugged. I looked around the circle and only four of us had our hands in the air.

Me, Luke, Michael and Calum.

Oh.
