3 years.

It had been 3 years since the cattle children reunited with Emma. The spring that March brought contained tearful smiles and a hearty reunion, as their family was finally complete.

"I've felt like... I've always wanted to see all of you...!" Emma had cried tearfully, as she clutched onto that glistening necklace of hers.

Her sobs had been quietened down by Norman's gentle hands, tenderly holding hers. He poured his heart out to her as he tearfully said:

"Screw destiny. Let's live together...!"

Norman's eyes had a sort of gleam, a comforting one which had filled the void of emptiness inside Emma.

"Okay!"

Ever since then, all lived in harmony and bliss. It was the future they all had fought for, especially Emma, who had given it her all.

"Norman? What are you thinking about?" Emma smiled as she waved her hands in front of Norman's face, bringing him back to Earth.

Emma and Norman were situated on an open part of a hill which provided an ideal scenery of the moonlit sky, decorated with stars. They were part of a trip that Gilda and Don had organized for everyone and on this starry night, everyone was in a dreamy state of slumber except for Emma and Norman.

So, the two decided to provide each other some comfort on this rendezvous, along with the night breeze accompanying them.

"O-Oh...! It's nothing. Don't worry!" Norman said with a light chuckle, causing Emma to give him a questioning look.

"Hmm...Really?" Emma leaned closer to his face.

"I-" Norman became flustered as he looked the other way.

His eyes widened as he saw Emma's soft and cool hands making its way on top of his, gently holding it.

"I want to know what's on your mind Norman...! My mind is full of hazy memories and talking to you makes me... feel warm...And it calms the storm inside my head so please... Tell me how you feel." Emma said as she lowered her head.

"I... was just thinking... about how such a precious moment was destined to exist in my fate..." Norman stared into the distance. "Even though I used to think something this perfect could never become a reality but..."

Norman held Emma's hands tighter, a small sort of desperation, a relief attached to his grip.

"Here I am. With you, Emma..."

Emma's eyes couldn't help but widen at his words. She felt the power and the feelings it brought along.

That's right.

It was this feeling that she was so confused about.

This boy... truly evoked something deep inside of her. Before she met such warm, welcoming ocean blue eyes, all that accompanied her was the cold, harsh reality. She had woken up in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by snow. Blanched white snow that held no weight - a bunch of nothingness, when she had desperately tried to grasp it.

Like her memories.

However, being with this angelic boy made her experience a special kind of warmth; one that she had never felt ever since she opened her eyes to this world. This warmth that melted the ghastly snow away, calmed the raging storm in her mind, and evoked an eruption of butterflies inside her stomach.
