Lucas was trying to start conversation. I tried but everytime I looked at him it reminded me of the wolf.
"Lahara? Are you alright?" Lucas asked. I just nod. "Lahara? Lahara!? Look at me please!" I look up. I see my older brother. The one who would never hurt me. I saw desperation in his eyes. I really hurt him. I have to tell him what I saw.
"Lucas, I lied. I saw you as a wolf. It terrified me." I say.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know. I..." he started. A sound stops him. I try to talk but he shushes me. He moves towards the noise. He moves the bush and there was a terrified squirrel. "Oh! It was just you little buddy." That's when an arrow shot him in the back. He screamed in pain. I could see it happening. He when on all fours. Fur started growing everywhere. Suddenly, a black wolf stood where my brother once stood. I looked at it. I was terrified. It eyed me like I was its next meal. It had his eyes. It was Lucas. The one who was gentle, would never hurt a fly.
"Lucas! Lucas! I know your in there!" I yell at him. He comes forward. I walk slowly backwards. I trip and he is basically on me. "Lucas, please! Please, don't hurt me!" I turn my head expecting pain, but none came.
"I'm sorry! I am so so sorry!" Lucas says scrambling away. I wipe my eyes realizing I was crying.
"Lucas it's alright." I say. He says nothing and curls up in fetal posion by the lake.
He stayed like that for weeks. He only came up to grab food then seclude himself again.
Finally, I said I was going into town. He ignored me and I went. I stole lots and I actually bought something. I looked at the date on someone's phone I stole and realized it was my birthday. My fourteenth birthday.
I walked back to camp. This also meant it was Lucas' fifteenth birthday right? Of coarse it was. I tried to tell Luc, but he wouldn't listen. So, I walked along the beach. I walked along and could swear I could see a young boy, age fourteen, jumping off of an exploding boat. He wasn't that far off and he still hasn't come up yet. I jump into the water an swim out to him. He was on the bottom of the ocean, yet he was breathing fine.
I tried to drag him to shore but he was surprisingly heavy. Some dolphins came and carried him away. I followed them carefully. I saw an underwater palace made of some coral like substance. I swam back to shore and ran to tell Lucas, but he wasn't there. I yell and search everywhere finally I here a whimper. It came from a bush near a large oak.
"Lucas? That you?" I ask.
