After that conversation that day, Himana started visiting the library on a regular basis. Throughout the lunch break, after sessions during the club activities, and during early mornings—hours before the normal session begins as well.

It was awkward first, at least for Tsuchigomori it was. Himana on the other hand didn't show a single bit of unease as her face remained blank. Which gave Tsuchigomori the impression, 'she doesn't give a damn about the atmosphere'.

For a full two weeks after that day of the conversation, Tsuchigomori had to remind the girl of the time to leave the library as she never keeps track of it. Before sessions and during lunch, she would be reminded by the bell, while during after sessions, Tsuchigomori verbally had to remind her and Himana leaves right after with a nod of thanks.

For those two weeks, those were the only words exchanged between them. Even during class, the both of them doesn't interact much as the girl wasn't dumb when it comes to science unlike many others.

After a while though, Tsuchigomori decided to let her stay as long as she liked. Partially because he got tired of continuously giving the reminder while the other half was because he didn't want that to be the only conversations held between them.

He wanted to know more about the odd teen, get to know her more as her Teacher and as the Supernatural curator of the academy's 5th School Wonder, the 4PM Bookstacks for reasons.

It was after this decision that the tension between them gradually got less till it felt like they never had any in the first place—they finally started to have normal conversations. Along with that, her stay in the library became longer day after day. Occasionally, her stays extend till midnight, yet neither of them seemed bothered by it.

Tsuchigomori knew, Himana lived alone. He knew her parents were deceased as he looked into her past. But even he didn't know the exact reason of their death because those pages of her book were blank. He only knew they died, and their death had something to do with her blank personality as she was previously known as a bright happy-go-lucky type of kid.

Of course, despite Tsuchigomori's knowledge, he did ask her if it was okay for her to stay out that late. To which Himana answered truthfully. "My parents died during an unfortunate accident. I live alone now."

Odd enough, 'an unfortunate accident' struck him oddly. He had a nagging feeling that whatever happened was something big and un-natural. As proof, Himana didn't give him a completely clear answer—which was unlike her because when she usually explains something, she leaves no room for questions. That's the kind of person she was.

Then again, her parent's death must have been a huge blow for her, at least that's what Tsuchigomori concluded despite his Supernatural senses telling him it was something else entirely.

Either way, the both of them went from exchanging a few words to holding full conversations. Mostly about something extremely odd or scientific, and sometimes it will be a topic normal Middle Schooler's wouldn't even think of. And that's how they got their name as the 'odd pair', The name granted by yours truly, Hanako-san.
