Chapter 13

Y/N fired his detonator at Arlo but the blonde student blocked the flare with his shield. As Y/N began to fire another he got his back wounded. Y/N quickly turned around to see the girl with the claws.

"Wait a minute, wasn't heavy dealing with both of them?!"  Y/N thought as he pointed his detonator to the girl as he pulled the trigger. The flare hit the girl's leg as Y/N took advantage of it as he sprinted towards the girl and kicked her right in the face, knocking her out.

Y/N turned his back to Arlo but was hit with a strong force of wind, Y/N turned his head towards the source only to see the boy that the girl had brought with. Y/N gave the boy the same treatment as he done with the girl.

Y/N turned his head towards Arlo as puts away his detonators away and brings out his shotgun.

"Arlo, how about we make a deal? If you try to go back on your word, I swear I am going to beat you-"

"Shut up. What's your 'deal'?" Arlo interrupted.

"Goddamnit, anyways. Whoever loses isn't allowed to say anything about what happened in the fight. Understand?"

"And why should I, hm? Because you don't want people to know about this?"

"One, If I beat you it'll make people think I'm the new king and I'm not good at being a king or whatever. Two, I don't want people knowing what I can do."

Arlo was confused. Why would Y/N not want to be king? What does he mean by "not good at being a king?". But Arlo remained calm.

"Why would you not want to be a king? You could have all the power if people knew what you could do." Arlo asked Y/N.

Y/N remained silent as he charged at Arlo as the blonde student raised his shield protecting him from Y/N's attacks.

Y/N had enough of Arlo's shield as he brought out the gunslinger. He hit it twice as he suffered damage from the reflective damage the shield was giving. Y/N ignored the pain as he went for the 3rd final punch as the gunslinger sparkled red.

As the 3rd punch from the sparking gunslinger hit the shield, the sparkle died out as Y/N remained silent. Arlo relaxed knowing that his shield didn't break.

However, just a second later. A crack appeared on Arlo's shield. Arlo flinched knowing that his shield is highly durable but something like a punch can't break his shield.

Arlo's eyes didn't leave the crack as it grew and grew. The crack had surrounded Arlo's shield as it shattered the entire shield into little pieces.

Y/N approached Arlo as he grabs by the shirt in a threatening matter as he yells at him in a aggressive tone.

"I am tired of how you treat cripples like this. Do you ever understand how they feel? How they think? You think it's okay to just shit on them like this?" Y/N yells at Arlo as he knocks him out with a headbutt. Arlo falls to the ground with a bloody nose.

Y/N walked away while putting his weapons into his bag and inside his guitar as he looked at the sky knowing that he won. But something felt missing... as if a piece of Y/N's heart vanished.

Y/N continued to walk to home without taking the subway as he started to limp, Y/N could barely see what was in front of him as it was all a mess. The blood continued to slowly spill from Y/N's body from the injuries.

Y/N ignored the pain as he thought about Arlo. Why did Arlo attack him? What was his... goal? What did he think he was going to accomplish?

Every new question that Y/N thought started to frustrate him as he teared up a bit. Y/N wanted to yell and throw his bag away but was too weak from loss of blood.

Y/N fell to the ground as he continued to get weaker and weaker. As Y/N fell to the ground he saw... somebody in front of him. It looked like a girl with... pink and green hair.

As Y/N's body finally collapsed to the ground he mumbled a final word before letting unconsciousness take over.

"Why?....."
