Kayla's POV~
I woke up with the chirping of birds and fresh breeze. It's beautiful this morning. Well, every morning of mine is, if you consider my definition of fine morning.
As soon as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes I jumped out of bed and walked across the washroom. I am late for college.
“Hello sweetie”
My dad Mr. Damon Westwood kiss me on cheeks and pulled me in morning hug. See this is our routine. I am his princess.
We walked towards the breakfast table where mom was arranging it for us with the helpers of course.
We are well known and rich around this town. So everyone already knew about me and my existence. Paparazzi follow me like a magnet. Just because of my friends I am always able to ditched them and enjoy my freedom.
I run directly to pastry. They are my favorite mom knew that, but she tries to control my sugar in take. Says I am not a child anymore and I should watch out my health and fitness.
“Don't touch it Kayla” Mom scolded me as usual.
“If you don't want me to eat why put it here” And I as usual avoid her eat it anyway.
“You remember we have a party to attend. Come back from college as soon as possible.” Mom said putting some French toast and juice in front of me.
“I remember mom but do I really need to attend this. You both will be there that should be enough.” I replied. I really don't want to go dad's boring business parties.
“It is a necessary sweetheart. You are my only heir. I want you to introduce to everyone. You should know the business world in and out.” Dad said with sweetness. He never scolds me that department is reserved for mom.
“Ok dad as you wish.” Then I looked at mom. “I'll be here till four.”
I kissed both of them and picked up my bag to go to college.
“Where is your bracelet? How many times I have told you to not take it out from your hand?” I don't understand why mom always get panic about the mere bracelet. I have been wearing that plain silver stuff from last nineteen years.
“It's in my backpack mom. I know I need to wear that all the time but you never told me why? And if I have to wear this all the time, don't you think you should have picked something more classy and elegant.” I tease her I don't like to see her like this being paranoid over a normal bracelet like my life depends on it.
“You will never understand that just remember never remove it ever in your life. Promise me!” Now she is freaking me out.
“I promise mom.” She pulled me in a tight hug.
Dad was seeing all the scene from his seat and slowly gave me a loving smile. Because he knows her wife, my mom, Mrs. Penelope Green, very well. She gets what she wants, doesn't even bother for the method.
And this my family, short, sweet, happy, loving and little weird if you count the bracelet incident. Rather than that everything is perfect.
With a smile on my face I headed to my car, my red Lamborghini. I am the only one who have this color in the town. And I am not awkward about it, in fact I am quite happy it makes me different from others.
