Third Person's POV~
Kayla was dressed in a dark red velvet off shoulder gown. The skirt flew down the hips with a long cut in side which exposed her long slender legs.
Kayla wasn't exceptionally gorgeous but her piercing eyes, plum lips and the innocence in her smile made her quite attractive. Nobody can just be passed without looking back her for once.
“You are beautiful my dear” Mrs. Westwood smiled and hugged her daughter.
“Whose daughter is she after all.” Mr. Westwood cheerful voiced chimed in.
Looking at the mother daughter duo his heart was filled with so many emotions. He only prayed for one thing that time to god, look after his daughter.
They made their way towards the party. After, stepping out the car they found themselves instant surrounded by reporters. The bright light of flash was so intense it was hard to open one's eyes without any difficulty.
Although, Kayla was born in high class family. She often followed by media, but she tries her best to avoid the limelight. She wasn't the fan of publicity like other spoiled heiress. Neither she wants to opt any eye-catching career.
That's why she ended up doing a business course following her father's path. She wanted to operate behind the scene.
Inside the hall everything was exceptionally gorgeous. The decoration, arrangements even the guest were outstanding.
Today all the celebrity of the city, businessman, all were present here. Some of them were genuine but maximum were fake true to high class society. Kayla always detest this fact about society, but she didn't have much choice.
Her birth wasn't something she had her control over. And who she was complaining, if she wasn't born in this high society how would she get her parents. One thing she is grateful to this society was her parents. So she was willing to endure the plastic world for them.
She was completely engrossed her own thoughts following her parents quietly when a baritone voice interrupted it.
“Finally I get to meet you without your gang around you.”
She turned around and saw Jackson was standing with two glass of champagne. He offered her one, and she took it with a little hesitation. After all her alcohol tolerance was not that good.
“What has it do with my gang?” She asked the unnoticed questions in his words.
“Oh nothing much, but they are like second layer of bodyguards. When they are around you no one dares to approach you.” He replied seeping his own drink.
Kayla laughed at his words. He wasn't wrong though. Her friends were extremely fierce and protective about her. No one can hurt her in their watch. To prove that right D walked towards them across the hall.
Seeing this a knowing smirk appeared in Jackson's face like saying “see this is what I was talking about.”
“Hey when did you arrive? And what were you laughing about?” D asked as soon as she came near her.
“How are you here? If I remember no one was ready to attend this boring party.” Kayla ditched her question and asked.
“How can I leave you alone in this pool of boring businessman and woman” She replied retrieving a glass for herself from the waiter.
