It was another successful Halloween, and Dark sighed as he thought about the night. He had, indeed, scared several out if their mind but he didn't feel the same satisfaction. It felt too natural, too easy, too... Dull.
"Dark, wonderful job this Halloween, you were better this year then any!" Dark lazily turned to see the mayor of Halloween Town, Mayor Damien. He had black tears dripping from his black eyes, two pure white balls dancing in the abyss. He held back his sigh and nodded to the Mayor.
"Thank you, I work to please." Damien gave a big smile and got on top of the small stage, ready to announce the winners of this year. Dark went to sneak away but was stopped by a rather large crowd. He stepped back in fear of the useless attention.
"You did amazing this year, Dark!" A ghoul cheered as the crowd closed in in the demon as his aura sparked to life.
"No one can scare like you, Dark!" Another monster said in a tone that told Dark they were trying to flirt. He tripped and fell in steps up to the court house.
"Thank you, thank you!" He continued to try and back up from the crowd. He gasped and turned as he heard the Mayor's booming voice through the mega phone.
"Who's ready for this year's winners?" Dark visibly sighed as the crowd turned away from him and focused on him. He ran out of there as quick as he could, not looking behind to see if he was being followed. He honestly was, a stitched up woman with blonde hair came out from the shadows. She had worry on her face and went to follow after him but her arm was suddenly gripped.
"The nightshade you slipped me wore off, Amy." She gasped and turned to see her cruel creator, Google.
"Let me go!" He started to pull her.
"Your not ready for such excitement."
"Yes I am!"
"Your going back home with me."
"No I'm not!" She pulled the thread that attached her forearm to the rest of her body, making Google fall and giving her enough time to escape.
"Come back here!" He started to groan as the detached arm started to attack him.

Dark walked through the gates of the cemetery. He sighed as he walked though. He pat the back of his leg in front of a tomb and a medium sized golden retriever, it was clear to the eye that she was different. She was a demon and Dark's faithful friend. Her name was Dark Chica, but most called her DC. He wondered to a couple of tomb stones and leaned on one.
"It's the same every year. Praise, gifts, cheers. But it really doesn't matter, does it. Because life isn't fair." He grumbled as he began to walk off. DC followed and accidently crushed a stick. DC heared a gasp but ignored, determined to follow Dark. Amy poked her head out fr behind a tombstone and watched Dark climb up the hill, stepping over the gate with his long legs. Amy listened, wanting to tell him if was all ok. Dark sighed.
"Come DC." DC barked and happily followed her master. He walked down the hill and it stretched it's tendril down, past the pumpkins and over the fence.
"Maybe there's something out there. Somewhere where no i e cares who I am. Far away from this place." He said as he walked into the deep forest. Amy came out from behind the tombstone and watched sadly as Dark's aura disapeared in the darkness.
"I understand, if only you saw." She sighed sadly as she tried to stuff her arm.

The next morning, Damien was climbing the tall stairs to Dark's home, scrolls and plans in his arms. He pulled the doorbell string and a deep, dark scream rang through the house. No answer, Damien payed no mind to this and knocked.
"Dark! I got the next plans for the next Halloween! I have a few ideas and we need to go over them." He accidentally drop them and sighed, semi annoyed.
"Aww come one Dark. I need your help with this, I can't do it by myself!" The black tears on his face began to flow.
"Dark! Answer me!" He fell down the stairs, tumbling all the way down and hitting the spiked gat at the bottom of the stairs.
"He's not home." Bing, a troll that was part of the band said.
"Where is he?" Damien sobbed as he tried to get rid of the ink black tears.
"He left hours ago." Another that was called Chase said. Damien frowned and covered his face with his hands.
