   August 15th, 1983

Marionette was doing her job and passing out prizes, although being careful not to wake the young Afton.

Elizabeth stirred and then woke up. The box was bigger on the inside than it was on the outside. It seemed quite confusing, but how else would Marionette comfortably fit inside?

Marionette hadn't noticed. She was too busy organizing the prizes.

Elizabeth peeked out of the box and was blinded by the light for a moment, but her eyes soon adjusted to the brightness.

Marionette noticed the slight movement and her eyes darted over.

Elizabeth gave a small wave and smiled.

Marionette was happy to see Elizabeth awake and she waved back.

"Can I come out?" Elizabeth whispered.

Marionette looks around to see if anybody was watching, but then nodded in response.

Elizabeth crawled out of the box and rubbed her eyes tiredly. "Marionette, what time is it?" She asked.

"Nine." Marionette responded, continuing to organize the prizes.

"Okay." Elizabeth sighed. "Did daddy come yet?" She asked hopefully.

   Marionette paused. "No, sadly..."

   "I miss daddy.." Elizabeth whimpered.

"I know..." Marionette said as she looked at the small girl.

Elizabeth sniffled. "What if d-daddy never c-comes?" She stuttered worriedly.

To be honest, that thought had crossed the Marionette's mind. "I'm going to be honest. I doubt that that will happen, but, it may happen. I'd like to say it won't, but that would be a lie, I don't know. But IF, the small chance it does happen, I will keep you safe." Marionette told her.

Tears started to run down Elizabeth's face as she hugged Marionette.

   Marionette returned the embrace.

"Wh-what if d-daddy doesn't lo-love me anymore?" Elizabeth choked on a sob as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand.

Marionette stayed quiet, because she really didn't know what to say to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth wiped her eyes again and her sadness soon turned to anger. "If daddy hasn't come for me yet, then he doesn't love me. He KNOWS Michael works here, and I didn't come back. So why didn't he come yet, Marionette?"

"... I don't know... I'm sorry..." Marionette apologized, bending down to Elizabeth's height.

Elizabeth broke down in tears again. "It makes sense why daddy doesn't love me anymore. I'm a dumb and ignorant little girl."

"Well... William isn't really the best person I've met." Marionette said quietly.

Elizabeth nods in agreement. "Sometimes daddy is mean." She pouted, being the young child she is.

"You have no idea..." Marionette muttered, but then continued. "But I think it's best if you don't know."

Elizabeth sighed. "Okay..." Her voice was still shaky from crying.

"Let's hope he does come back though..." Marionette tried to cheer Elizabeth up.

"Yeah. I want to go back to my house soon."
