i gasp as i feel a swift raindrop hit the tip of my nose. i pause in my tracks; my attention turning to the sky as george continues to ramble on. a second drop lands on my forehead and another runs down my cheek.

"...so the timer is running out and i'm stuck inside a -" i hear his voice stop abruptly, so i turn back to him to see him just standing and staring at me. "(y/n) i know it's an intense story, but you don't have to cry." he walks towards me with his arms opened and his head down. i sarcastically giggle and shove him away before looking back up as the rain begins to intensify. "george we are soon going to be in the rain." i hear him lightly giggle which brings a smile and a light blush to my face. "we are indeed going to be in the rain." he says. i look back down quickly as a raindrop lands right in my eye. the pouring water begins to speed up

"and we have no umbrella." i say as i rub my eye. "you are extraordinarily smart today (y/n)." i sarcastically roll my eyes at him and he laughs lightly. by this time, the rain begins to pour on us and cold winds have began to blow. "that's enough sarcasm for today george, what are we supposed to do now?" i wring out the end of my shirt and a few droplets fall and hit the concrete sidewalk. "i say we stand here." my eyes look up to meet his. a serious look paints his face. that's when i realize he isn't joking around with me. "we stand here? in the rain?" i question. "in the rain." he repeats. i giggle at him and push my now soaked hair out of my face. "that's a mighty idea george."
