Zain's POV
Nothing gets me angrier when Kai has been done dirty. He's a good kid and for that jerk to do that? I'll happily break his shit snd him.
The room I was kept in was separate as I leaned back in the chair. This wasn't my first time being arrested. I had a DUI a year ago and some weeks before that there was a fight in the club that got ugly and they started arresting people.
Mr Evans was a powerful man. He really decided to press charges. Bastard. I was so drunk I barely remember. All I remember is being pissed. I kicked windows in and smashed them up I remember.
As I sat there sighing I thought about Mia. I wish I knew if she was here. Also weirdly missed her. I just wanted to sit and touch her and hold her all the time like some soppy mess.
After agesss, the door opens and two officers wearing normal clothing come in.
"Where is my lawyer?" I ask and behind them appears my grandmother.
"Here I am." She says. "They were interviewing your brother first."
"Ive sat here for like hours." I frown.
"You didn't offer my client any drinks?" Grandma says. "Jasmine. Doubt he wants a cup of coffee."
"I do actually? A bagel would be nice too." I smile. They leave and grandma sits down. She looked smart wearing her blazer.
"Hi grandma." I say smiling trying to see if she was pissed or not.
"Zain I told you last time, I do not want to ever see you in an interrogation room ever."
"It happened."
"Well look... you say nothing."
"Here is your coffee. No bagel sorry. No bagels in prison either." The woman says.
"What is your name?" I ask as she presses thr button. "You got a boyfriend?"
"Right. Interview starts at 3.17pm I am detective Jones and with me is Detective Pritchett and..."
"You know my name." I say. "I bet you lowlifes stick our pictures on the wall trying to connect inaginary dots." I chuckle.
"Zain Adams and his lawyer Jasmine Adams." The woman finally continues.
"Zain why were you and your cousin Caleb Cortez, your family friend Mia Henry..."
"That's actually my girlfriend." I correct her.
"Okay." She nods. "Why were you guys at the party?"
"Its a party. What else. Do you go parties?" I ask them.
"But you were not invited or on the guest list." Jones frowns.
"So? Never crashed a party? Kai was in there. My girlfriend's sister was in there."
"Right... Elsbeth Henry." She says.
"You guys just hang out with family or I suppose your parents are gamg menbers."
"That is so inappropriate." My grandma says
"My parents are what?" I frown.
"Your parents Nick and Desi Adams." She says. "Did they have an issue with Mr Evans?"
"Reaching." My grandma says. "Look. Start talking about why hes here. Not about my son or daughter in law."
"Was the fight about drugs?"
"What fight?" I ask.
"Well more like attack." Jones says and I look at my grandmother.
"Well which one is it. Why are we here? Can we keep it relevant. This is the last time I'm asking." My grandmother asks.
