I can't get that 'Marcus' out of my head. It's been 3 days since he brought us the pizza, he just looks s darn familiar! When I answered the door I felt like I knew him...it was freaky.
I done a quick recap since I joined Braintree, if I knew anyone with the name Marcus. Nope - there was no one. Wait a sec - no. I'd asked Holly & Sam and they said they weren't aware of any Marcus' in our school.
I pushed it away and decided to get ready. Mum and dad were taking me and Haz to the cinema today.
"Ellie, are you ready?" Mum called up the stairs.
"I'll be one second!" I shouted back, grabbing my bag and putting my purse and phone inside, running downstairs after.
"So what film do you want to watch?" Dad asked as we walked to the car.
"Planes!" Haz said, jumping up and down.
"No dad, not planes. That's so boring and for little kids. Maze Runner would be the better option." I got in the car, as Haz was moaning about how boring me and my film choices were. We spent the whole journey to the cinema discussing the best film to watch.
"Fine. Maze runner it is, Ellie." Mum said as we walked into the building.
"YES!" I done a huge jump and received some weird stares. I gave the look back and laughed, catching up with Mum, Dad Haz. We all brought one large bag of popcorn each, before me and Haz went over to the candy king section, choosing our sweets to eat.
"Oooo vanilla fudge," I said, scooping some into the pot.
"I prefer half chocolate half vanilla, but I guess it's yours to decide," someone said from behind. I turned around and you'll never guess who was there.
Marcus the pizza delivery guy.
Except this time he was in a cineworld uniform.
"You..." I said pointing to him with a smirk.
"You muttered something when you left my house the other day, what did you say?"
"I did? I went to your house? No, I don't remember that!" He was so cocky. And arrogant. And if there's one thing I hate it's cocky and arrogant people.
"Yes, you did. Something like you don't remember? Sound familiar?"
"No. Sorry must have me confused with someone else." He smirked.
"Haz, come on, we're going back to mum and dad," I grabbed Haz's hand and took him away.
"You might want to-" Marcus was interrupted by beeping. A continuous beeping, actually.

That beeping - it was the theft alarms. They thought me and Haz were trying to steal candyking. CANDYKING. I mean, yea it's nice and all but I wouldn't take it that far...well actually...
The worst part : we missed Maze Runner, but after I explained I wasn't trying to rob candyking and that I was trying to walk away from a new employee, cineworld gave us a free pass for the rest of the year!
So all is good in the land of Ellie.
Oh and it turns out I got Marcus fired from his pizza job when I phoned up after the meal and complained. And I didn't just get him fired from another job either...
