After getting out of the commotion, Alex wandered around again to look for a restaurant to get some food for his unhappy rumbling stomach, and Cotton was also getting hungry and glaring at him asking Alex to feed him. After wandering around for 30 minutes the finally found a restaurant, entering in he saw many people eating the food but most were nobles, ignoring the nobles he went to the reception he told them to book a room for him to eat at, the hospitality was really good, a man in a butler outfit came to him and asked Alex to follow him as he leads Alex to a private room to eat,

Sitting down on the chair the butler gave him the menu waiting patiently for Alex to order a meal when suddenly a bird came out of his and sat down opposite to Alex startling the butler/waiter in the process. Alex and cotton were staring at each other intensely again, "What do you even eat?" asked cotton as it stared back at him as if he asked the most stupid question which in return Alex furrowed his eyebrows, as now the both of them were glaring at each other the atmosphere became tense and the waiter started to sweat uncontrollably,

Before the atmosphere became worse the waiter decided to butt in, "um....sir, it's a mana beast....." Alex had his full attention on the man and was now staring intensely at the waiter opting him to continue, seeing that Alex wasn't mad at the waiter and the atmosphere despaired he visibly calmed down and continued, "Mana beasts can eat normal food but their primary food is, mana they feed on the mana of the person they have chosen as their master. In this case, since you could feel his emotions and understand it, it must have formed a contract with you and if you named it then it means that both parties agree, and then the contract will be officially made....." as the butler continued talking in his own world,

Alex had question marks above his head until it finally clicked in, he looked at cotton again that was still looking at him. The waiter started to get annoying so Alex coughed trying to get his attention, the waiter was still rambling on and on so Alex coughed again but a little louder this time but it still didn't work so he coughed again but really loud this time, this startled the waiter bringing him back from his world and what greeted him was Alex and cotton now glaring at him rather than each other like before. The waiter was now sweating more than before and started to shutter, "u-uh..have y-you chosen w-what you want.....?" this lighted the atmosphere of the room and, Alex and cotton weren't glaring at him anymore.

After the waiter left the room, Alex and cotton had another starring contest until Alex closed his eyes and trying to recall from the real Alex's memories on how to use mana. Finally, he remembered and opened his eyes to look at cotton, Cotton understanding came close lowering his head, Alex put his hand on the cotton head enjoying the softness but then started to concentrate as this was not the time yet. He concentrated trying to feel a hot feeling his chest, after some second he started to feel it, he then imagined that feeling going from his hand to cotton, after hearing a satisfying chirp he opened his eyes to see satisfied cotton, "stingy bird.." Alex was sweating like crazy he started feeling really tired so he laid down his head waiting for his food to come.

Alex was in a forest with horned rabbits, they were just rabbits but with horns and to improve his physique he thought, why not start with this? he got a dagger except it was bigger than most he bought the dagger from the rest of the money that was left. Getting ready he got in a fighting stance and looked at the closest horned rabbit and dashed towards it, he went for the week part first, the neck, the horned rabbit heard his head when it heard footsteps, it was now on guard and ready to attack Alex. It jumped trying to hit Alex with its horn but before it could touch him, Alex avoided and stabbed its stomach killing it in an instant.

 Alex was about to let his guard down when he heard clapping from behind him, now completely alarmed he looked behind him. There was an old man clapping with a smile on his, though his face said 'Innocent old man' his body said different, he was well developed and left no weak spot, his guard was neither down nor up he looked normal but if you made any move you would die without even knowing what happened. Alex narrowed his eyes- he was on guard following every little movement the old man-made,

"Ahem, kid..you did a good job finishing it in such a short time at your first try," the man said with a warm smile, Alex was still on guard but what the other said next confused the shit out of him. "Be my disciple" Alex had never met this man before, why would he want him to be his disciple? "..why" it sounded more like a statement then a question but the old man didn't mind so Alex continued, "why do you want me, there are many people better than me," he said looking at the man straight in the eye with confusion visible.

"Your eyes" he stated which confused Alex even more, 'does the old man want to take my eyes? to do what? sell them? replace his eyes with mine? no, but then he would have just killed him of an took his eyes, some kind of obsession?' the old man seeing the looks Alex was giving noticed that the other misunderstood him, in a panic he quickly tried to explain himself "THE look IN your eyes" calming down he said it again and this time better, "the look in your eyes when you killed the horned rabbit, that look I've only seen once....and that person became at the top. Those eyes, I know you will become someone big in the future and I want to push you to your limit and see how far you will you go."

Alex was still confused about the eyes part but he knew the man wasn't lying and it wasn't a bad choice to chose him as his master, he had a feeling that he wouldn't regret saying yes so he said it but reluctantly, "....fine" hearing Alex's reply he visibly brightened and asked as if they had been friends for years but the question would make doubts, "what's your name, boy" Alex was still weary but he didn't give a second thought to answer. "Alexander,...sir?.." the man laughed and replied, "My name is Roger but you can call me granda-"   

"old man," Alex said before Roger could even fish his sentence, and they a starring contest because that was the only thing he seems to be doing the most since he reincarnated to this world.
