"hey. where's Hyejin's room?" Jaemin asked to Hyejin's twin, Hyunjin.

"oh? why are you asking that? did Hyejin told you to pick something up from her room?" he asked back.

"no. can you not see that i'm holding a wasted girl? i'm tryna find a room for her to sleep."

"oh.. Jesus. of course, just use my room. let's go."

Hyunjin led the way upstairs to his room, giving June a place for her to sleep. after they arrived, he helped opened the door since Jaemin was unable to do so because he was busy holding June's hand and waist.

"thanks, Hyunjin."

"your welcome." he walked away to leave his room to the both of them, but he stopped just before he closed the doors because Jaemin stopped him.

"oh and Hyunjin?"

"yeah?"

"do you and Hyejin mind if she stays the night? she can't really go back to her house.. she said she forgot to bring her key. and her dad is asleep so.. and i definitely can't bring her to my house."

"oh, yeah sure. it's all good. don't worry about it."

"thanks again, man."

"no problem."

he suceeded leaving the room this time. leaving the two of them alone.

"okay almost there." Jaemin said while he struggled to carry June to the bed from where she was, the couch.

"there we go. give me your jacket." June laid on the bed while drunkenly opening her leather jacket and giving it to Jaemin as he told her to, then he took off her shoes.

he hung it to a standing coat hanger, her jacket. and pulled a chair near the bed so he could sat next to her for awhile. Jaemin being June's guardian angel, as always.

"don't leave me." June said with her eyes closed, facing Jaemin who's sitting next to her.

"i'm right here, June." he replied.

"no," she stroked her hair. "i mean, don't ever leave me. please."

"i'm not going anywhere June, ever. why would you say that?"

she opened her eyes, barely. "because... you're the only person that- that um.. that i.. i- i don't wanna lose." she struggled to speak.

"i love you, Jaemin."

a thin smile could be seen on Jaemin's face. he stroked her hair and put it behind her ear and started to stroke her cheeks. "i know. i love you too."

"no no no no.. no- no. you don't get it. i love you."

"what- what are you trying to say?"

"Jaemin," she tried to open her eyes once again to look at him and slightly smiled. "all my life i never had anyone. i need you."

"be-because come to think of it... i.. i wouldn't be alive until today if it wasn't for you. i used to think of myself as a helpless mess, but y-you proved me wrong. you're the only person who made me feel loved."

Jaemin furrowed his eyebrows from confusion.

"so what i'm trying to say is that.. i... i don't think i love you the way that a best friend does."

his furrowed eyebrows loosen up when he realized what his lifelong bestfriend was trying to say.

"i didn't believe it myself at first b-but.. i can't lie to myself anymore. and to you."

that sentence rendered him speechless.

June took his hand and held it, placed it in front of her, under her cheeks. "so please promise me that you won't leave me, okay?" June wrapped her pinky finger around his.

he looked at her with confusion all over his eyes, trying to figure out everything. but even then, no matter how hard he tried to fight it, every cell in his body can't help but also look at her with love.

"i promise." he answered.

You were alone, left out in the cold
Clinging to the ruin of your broken home
Hear the falling and lonely, cry out
Will you fix me up? Will you show me hope?
The end of the day and we're helpless
Can you keep me close? Can you love me most?
