Chapter 7

Seraphina POV

I drop out of sweat comes down my face as me and John stand across from each other.

I grit my teeth as John appears behind me, HE WAS NEVER THIS FAST I think to myself. I try to slow down time, but it doesn't effect John as I'm sent flying into a wall.

"ACK" I cough up blood as I drop to my knees, I look up at John who was walking towards me. "Seraphina...stay down." He says, I smirk.

"You know John....I've been wondering...."

I struggle to stand but eventually I am standing,  "how the hell you got that marking!" I yell as slow time and upper cut him then gut punching him. "YOU SON IF A BITCH" I land another blow.

"I LIKED YOU!"

I try to land another blow but John catches my fist, "I know sera" I begin to blush, "WERE IN THE MIDDLE IF A DAMN FIGHT YOU CANT JUST-" John wraps of his arms around me.

"But sera I like you as friend more"

He grabs my shoulders as I feel my heart begin to shatter, I look up towards John as he looks at me dead in the eye.  "Oh......." I say while shedding a tear, I lower my head.

"Can I ask why?" I ask, my voice shaking.

John pulls my chin upwards so I'm looking up at him, "I'm just......*sigh* I can't just abandon remi!" I clench my fist, remi....

I look up to see John and remi standing side by side looking at me, "did you do it?" I ask placing my head in my hand. Remi nods, "ok your next task is kind of a big one..."

I look as John begins to slowly activate his ability, I pretend like I don't see it, "I need you to meet Kai, he's a good friend of mine who I need to settle I bet with" I raise my hand as John throws a punch.

"Good job John"

I catch Johns punch as he yells "WHY DID YOU DO THIS...I JUST HAD TO BREAK MY BEST FRIENDS HEART" I sigh, " I know John" I release his hand.

"But your relationship with her is mandatory, it's a mental link between you two...remember, I'm letting you use my power with free will"

I watch as John sighs and nods, "yeah your right..." I smile, "Alrighty then, you two get goin now...Kai hates to wait!"

TIMESKIP

Arlo POV

I watch as remi enters the room with Blyke in her arms, "oh great, what did you do now, break his neck?" I say sarcastically. Remi's eyes orange eyes land on me.

"Arlo! Perfect timing...can you watch Blyke for me, thank you!"

She drops Blyke on a infirmary bed and rushes out, "may I ask where the hell your goin" I ask harshly, remi ignores me and yanks open the door slamming it behind her.

Wow....

TIMESKIP

JOHN POV

I wait patiently for remi, I check my phone to see its 12:45 and we need to meet Kai and 1:00. "HEYYYY" I hear Remi's voice behind me. I wave back as I push myself off the concrete wall, "ready?" I ask the pink haired girl. She nods as we both bolt off down the street.
