" I'm so proud of you." I heared a voice say behind me. I shut my suitcase for the 20th time this morning to turn around to see my mother. She had her hands over heart and a sad expression on her face. I loved her so much, but it was only nine o'clock and shes come to check on me at least 20 times.
" Mom," i say slightly annoyed, " You can be all emotional at the airport, for now if your not helping me pack, and i mean this in the nicest way possible, get out." It sounded harsh but my mother knew the stress I was under. She knew I loved her And she knew she was being annoying.
My mom stared at me, taking me in as I did the same to her, after all this will be one of our last moments together for a very long time. My mother was pretty. She has short blond hair that stopped right above her shoulder, she has green eyes, and she was very petite. She had no makeup on, she wasn't bathed, she didn'n have on actual cloaths, and she had only gotten about an hour or so of sleep, but she still looked lively.
I realised how long we were just staring at eachother and quickly diverted my eyes to something on the ground. Yep, thats me, I get awkward even with my own mother.
Before i knew it she was gone and said something about breakfast. As I turned back to my suitcase my phone started going off. I heard the chimes of my ringtone but I couldnt find it. As I rummeged through the piles of cloaths and shoes that I had on my bed it stopped ringng.
Great, I thought, Now ive made even more of a mess and i cant find my phone.
As i continued to sort through the piles of cloaths I had thrown around I heard my ringer again except this time louder. I dug to the bottom of the pile that I was nearest and found my phone. As I flipped it over I saw the caller I.D. and laughed to myself. It was my friend Olivia who most likely slept through her alarm and thought she had missed me go.
"Hello?" I answered.
"BRIANA, THANK GOODNESS! OH MY GOD ARE YOU ON THE PLANE? SHIT IM SO SORRY I-" Oliva was screaming and i couldn't take it.
"OLIVIA IM NOT ON THE PLANE YET!" I screamed back cutting her off and then her line was quiet.
"Oh." was all she said.
"Oh," i imitated making my voice higher to match the pitch she used.
"I'm on my way." And before i could protest she hung up.

About thirty minutes of master level packing and joking around with Olivia my mom called us down for breakfast. I was supprised to see that it was only 10:30. That meant the others should get here soon and I should be finished with packing. I still have a few more things to pack, thanks to Olivia unpacking my things while I packed, but for the most part, it was me trying to stall.
I slipped away from the table as my mom and Olivia talked away. As I got to my room I sat on my bed and looked around. I loooked at my T.V. on my dresser, my paintings on the wall, I looked at my computer and homework desk, I looked at my shoes I have yet to pack and the ones in my suit case next to my suit case with my cloaths.
I thought of the memories I've had in here, My first kiss, my first heart break, all the sleep overs I've had with my friends, My first cat having kittens in my, now almost empty closet. I remembered all the things I've learned in here, how my parents split up, howmy brother decided to leave with him, how i had all A's and was at the very top of my class, and how I learned i was going to Sydney, Australia.
It was then I realized A) I was terrified and B) I was going to miss this place.
As I finished packing my friends Olivia, Courtney, Haley, and Lauren walked in with my mother and helped carry my five bags to the car.

I grabbed my carry-on and my boarding pass and turned to face my mother and friends, all of which where crying.
"Well," I said, "I guess I'll see you guys later." I finished, my words cracing at the end. I didn't even bother to hold in my tears.
"You can always come home and tell the school your not going." Haley spoke up. Trying her best to not cry as she talked.
"No I cant, the school Paid for this already, I cant say no." I say.
"Dont forget about us then." Lauren said walking forward and hugging me tightly, followed by Haley, Olivia, Courtney, and my mom.
"How could I."I said only starting to cry harder.
"Be sure to call me every night alright, dont worry about the time, we'll get it figured out." Courtney said as she stepped twords me for an individual hug. As she released my mother spoke up.
"I love you so much honney." She said. By this point she was bawling, and i stepped forward to hug her. I squeezed her tight as a flight attendant called for my flight. I waved goodbye to everyone before crossing through security and walking to my flight.
