Third Person's POV
Hana stood outside her father's study, she wasn't sure if she wanted to go in or just wait for him until dinner. He usually doesn't come out unless he wanted to go to the bathroom or eat. She raised her fist and froze for about three seconds before knocking. She heard a faint 'come in' with a deep voice and so she let out a breath before opening the door. Her father sat on a chair behind his desk, with papers scattered across and he had a cup of coffee too. When he looked up, he stared at Hana in surprise before smiling at her. Hana felt relief when she saw this, she was nervous for some unknown reason but after seeing her father smile, all of the anxiousness left her body.
"Welcome home, Hana." He greeted her and stood up from his desk, he walked around it and reached Hana to give her a hug.
"I'm home." She whispered back and hugged him back, she did miss her family after all this time.
They pulled apart and Hana's father guided her towards the couch that he had in his study. Although this was where he usually works, his bookshelves were full of books that his current wife wrote. He had a desk and a chair so he could work properly, a couch, and a coffee table so that whenever he received visitors they could just talk there.
"Your mother just left-"
"I saw her on the way here so no worries."
"Oh, how about your brother?"
"Saw him too downstairs." He stayed quiet before looking at her with narrowed eyes, she blinked and smiled brightly at him.
"Don't worry, I haven't seen grandma yet."
He let out a quiet sigh of relief and she laughed, her father had always been like this. He liked getting Hana's attention more than his wife but she didn't mind, knowing how much he loved her. He wasn't strict nor was he too carefree, he just loved his daughter more and Hana became a daddy's girl. He liked spoiling her with things when she was young and she liked spoiling him back with more hugs and kisses than she could ever give to her brother or mother.
"I didn't come alone." She said suddenly to break the comfortable silence between them, her father raised an eyebrow at her statement.
"Oh? A friend?"
"Boyfriend."
"I see, you finally decided to date someone." He nodded in understanding, he wasn't extremely strict when it came to Hana's private life. He just wished that she would be happy with her life.
"Yeah, he's nice." She smiled down at her hands, remembering how Yoongi would kiss her fingers lovingly.
"Should I scare him?"
"Are you really considering it?"
He stayed quiet before showing her an amused smile, his wrinkles on his forehead and cheeks were showing while doing so. Her father wasn't that old, he was only in his forties but she could see that he was getting old. She hated it.
"No, I just want to meet him."
"Then let's go meet him now, dad."
—
"Are you sure he won't kill me?"
"I mean if you want him too. I'm sure he'll be more than glad to-"
"Shut up, you're literally not helping my anxiety."
Hana couldn't help but laugh at that, she could see that he was nervous. She could feel he was nervous as he holds her hand and his hand was sweating slightly while it shakes lightly. His eyes were darting from the floor to their hands and to Hana's eyes. She let out a sigh and grabbed him by his shoulders, he looked at her confused but finally focusing on her eyes. She gave him a smile and he relaxed a bit, he couldn't help but smile back.
