Third Person's POV
Hana opened her eyes when she felt someone covering her with a blanket, she looked up at Yoongi with the most confused eyes and he laughed a bit at her. Hana sat up and he sat down next to her. She laid her head on his shoulder and he wrapped an arm around her waist to pull her closer. They sat quietly in Hana's room. She had fallen asleep on her couch after sitting in silence while deciding on what to do with the offer her brother gave her.
She came to a decision and she wasn't exactly sure how she would tell her friends.
"Hey, can I tell you something?" Hana broke the ice first, she needed to tell him.
"What is it?" Yoongi mindlessly played with a strand of her hair, he didn't know what was about to come.
"I'm leaving for Canada next summer."
If someone dropped a pin on the floor, the sound would rang through the entire room. But Hana had carpeted floors, so maybe even if someone had dropped a pin, it would still be as silent as they are right now.
"Are you coming back?" He asked quietly, dropping her hair and stared at her.
"No." Hana sat up straight and looked at him, she wasn't sure if he was sad or upset, but all he had on his face was softness.
"Are you mad?" She asked him when he didn't speak after that, Hana couldn't feel anything just yet but she knew if he had answer with a yes, her heart would simply break a bit.
"No, there's no reason to. I wouldn't be mad if it's something you want to do." Yoongi said in a gentle voice, he brushed her hair to the side and cupped her right cheek.
They stare at each other for a while and it was at that moment that Hana realized she couldn't feel the right mood or butterflies, she couldn't feel the heart beating against her chest, she just couldn't. But when Yoongi leaned closer to her face, she didn't move. Yoongi stopped at a few centimeters from her face, he was staring at her eyes and then her lips.
Hana shut her eyes and Yoongi shut his, he didn't do it. He couldn't, because no matter what happens, he just couldn't feel the right feelings to do any of these. So when Yoongi leaned his forehead against Hana's, she calmed down a bit. They both stayed like that for a few minutes, just in silence again. It seemed like every time the two of them were together, they didn't need to speak at all, silence was their own way of communicating.
"It's impossible after all." Yoongi said suddenly, he leaned back and looked at Hana with a sad smile.
Hana felt sad, she didn't like that they both had made efforts to try and make it work but in the end, it was still useless. Hana felt stupid, why did she think that dating someone else would help with her feelings.
"Then can we just stay like this? Just until I have to go." Hana said, it was a selfish request, a stupid one at that. She could get hurt or even worse, she could hurt Yoongi. But she wanted to stay with him, even if they were dating as friends.
"Are you sure? Because we can stop this, Hana." He replied, he wasn't sure why Hana wanted to stay like this but he was okay with it either way. Because he knew she didn't had any bad intentions, if one of them gets hurt during this then it was an accident. An accident they were both willing to be responsible of.
"No, it's okay. Let's stay like this, just until I have to go." She repeated, she wasn't sure if it was the right decision. But it was a choice she was willing to make.
It felt impossible, but both were willing to stay as they were. Because knowing that the other had no intentions of hurting each other, they decided it was easier this way. Dating in title, but really, they only wanted comfort and presence. Maybe it was just easier to say they were dating rather than explaining their feelings and situation. It was too complicated for an outsider to understand.
