Time period: September 8, 2014, in Staten Island, NYC (6th grade)

Toni's Pov

Hi, my name is Toni Topaz and I'm currently 12 years old and I have a twin brother his name is Fangs. We live in Staten Island, NYC. With our parents in this big house but I don't know what for because there is only four of us. Anyway, today is my first day of middle school. I'm going to the sixth grade along with my brother well obviously because we're twins but fraternal twins to be exact. That's besides the point me and my brother are in our home room right now there's a bunch of kids around. Wait hold on some girl just walked up to me and she's really pretty.

Veronica- Hi my name is Veronica lodge. What's your name? she said as she stood beside the desk attached to mine

She just smiled at me. Her smile is really pretty. She started laughing and she blushed.

Veronica- Aren't you going to tell me your name?

Toni- Oh! right uh....I'm Antoinnette topaz but everyone calls me Toni for short. she says nervously slightly embarrassed that she been caught staring.

Their was a moment of silence shared between them.

Veronica- May I sit? she said looking between my bookbag in the paired seat and me

Toni- Y-yeah sure.

Veronica- Hey can I see your schedule? she says nonchalantly

Toni- Uh yeah ok. I said as I slid the paper onto her desk

Veronica- looks like we have every class together. Hey Toni, do want to be my friend?

Toni- Sure if you'll be mine. I said with my most charming smile

Veronica giggles at my giddiness . And at the fact I just been caught staring again.

Veronica- What?

Toni- Nothing. You're just really pretty when you smile.

Veronica blushed

Toni- Hey Ronnie! You want to go on a date with me? she said walking up to her and leaning on the locker next to hers

Toni- Cool I'll see you later. she kissed Veronica's cheek and walked past her to her next class

Not without looking back and giving Ronnie her best smile. Veronica returns the smile hoping at the same time Toni would just walk around the corner out of sight. So she could breathe again. When she did she let out a nervous breath regained her composure and walked to her next class.

As soon as Toni was out of Veronica's sight she leaned against the wall of lockers with her hand over her heart .

Toni- Holy shit I just asked Ronnie on a date. This is just the beginning.
