Y/N P.O.V

I sulked after my parents as they dragged me around the city of which I had no interest in. The city was never my life before and it won't be now. A grunt escaped my mouth as some group of boys on motorcycles decided it was a great idea to drive past us as we crossed a crosswalk. However, one of the boys seemed so familiar but I couldn't put a finger on it quite yet. My parents would mutter some insults in their direction but I just stayed silent. Annoyed, my family carried on our adventure. The bright lights and tall building taunted me while the loud noises and constant talking of people gave me a painful headache. Finally, my family came upon some shelter which so happened to be a small store which sold jewelry and all that fancy stuff. I wasn't into fashion but it would be nice to get away from everything. We entered the shop and began to look around, however, minutes later the boy that looked familiar before entered the room.

"Y/N? Is that you?" He would ask me as I turned to look at him. The voice seemed so stunningly familiar... and the more I looked at him, the more the picture came together. It was Drake! Boy did he look different! Before, he was that shy kid around the block and my best friend but now... he looked like he was in a full on gang.  "Drake? Oh my god! Hello! How have you been? Boy, you look so different than before!" I commented with a huge smile on my face. Quickly, I ran over to him and gave him the biggest hug the world has ever seen. Sadly though, it would appear that he didn't exactly enjoy it like I thought he would. Pretty soon after I embraced him, he kind of pushed me away. "Sorry, I don't do hugs." He told me with a strict look on his face and crossing his arms. In confusion, I stepped back, feeling as if something was wrong with him since he had never acted this way before. What happened to him? Who influenced this kind of behavior?

As if he saw my confusion, he let out a rough sigh and looked at me. His breath smelled like  drugs and alcohol which he had to be illegally doing. "Listen, it's been too long since I've seen you. I don't want to be associated as a shy guy who has a friend that's some random girl. It ain't going to work here, and if you will take my advice, you will stay out of my way." Drake huffed as my eyes widened with so much more confusion. He paused for a moment than began to speak again, "Welcome to the city, loser." with that, he turned and walked out of the door. My mouth felt dry as I tried to look for words. My parents, who were behind me, rested their hands on my shoulders and told me it'll be alright. Would it? I lost my best friend who had been waiting for me because of a city? Mixed emotions began to rise within me as I felt the need to punch the wall. I wanted to go home, back to pennsylvania, and I was mad at this city for changing my B.F.F. In fact, I was so angry that I took an oath to get to the bottom of this and find the reason exactly why Drake was acting this way.
