"Amara!" My mom shrieks when she sees me. "Amara!" I don't answer. "Oh Amara!" My mom is shrieking as loud as she can. "Amara honey are you okay?"I still stayed silence. "Is she all right???" My mom snapped at Nurse Kelley. "Yes she is in shock!" Nurse Kelley said. "I think she needs to rest the night you can take her home tomorrow." My mom frowned. "She'll be in good hands nothing could go wrong with her she is in a stable condition." My mom nodded her consent. "Your Father is returning from Chile early. I love you I'll bring clothes when I come tomorrow." I lay motionless as both she and Nurse Kelley left. A moment later I heard a voice. "You should speak to your Mommy." "Lexa?" I jumped a mile. "I mean I'm never gonna see my mommy again!" "Lexa stop it your alive and playing a trick on me!" "Oh I wish." Her voice is cruel and razor-like. "Please Lexa I wanted to save you!" I hiss. "But what's done is done." The room gets very cold. I see the flickering form of Lexa in the corner. "Not if I kill you." I cringe. "Lexa please your my best friend!" I shout. "I was your best friend and I will always be a was. A were. A had." "Lexa look!" I kicked the covers off my ankle. "A+L forever!" "Forever? I am dead!" "Lexa!" I whisper. "Think of all our memories!" "Oh yes I can go back to any memory I want!" She touches my wrist and u see two younger versions of ourselves. Ten or eleven maybe. "Jeremy and Geoffrey! Cutest names for cute guys!" I gush. "OMG look out the window Amara it's them wave!" Lexa shouts. "They are THIRTEEN oh my gosh no way!" I howl. "You do it!" Ghost Lexa smiles at me and we are back in my hospital room. "You know Geoff asked me out last week and I'll never go with him!" "Lexa no please stop it!" But she only smiles a sly smile. "Yeah right. As if." "Please!" "Please has little effect on me." "Lexa!" But she is angry. "I wasted my time being your friend you couldn't save me from death!!" I begin to cry. "Shut. Up." She says. "Why aren't you my friend in death what has changed?" "I am dead." "If I were dead I wouldn't hurt you!" I say. "I miss you already! I never chose to have you die!" I sob. "Fate chose it then?" She asks. "I tried to grab you that's why I fell!" "And then you LET GO!" "I couldn't hold on!" "I saw you above me dangling from that rock right after I hit my head. I saw you fall right as I died! I waited for you in death. I sat in a dark room. But you didn't come. Then a door speared so I went and opened it. I was in a hospital. Once I closed the door it was gone. Nobody saw me. I was alone. I heard your voice and ran to your room. But you were just lying on the bed. I had no clue where the voice was coming from. I could tell you were close to death. If you died we would be together but I didn't want you to die. So I touched you and healed you. You woke up right then. I ran out the door. When the nurse left I came in. I meant only to watch you but you could see me! See me!" Lexa yelled her voice sending shivers up my spine. "I am ALONE in my world!" "You have me!" I say. "No I don't I am so freaking jealous of you I could never be your friend again." And with that she ran from the room.
