The Beast Hero: Beastboy (My Hero Academia Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

Our story starts many years ago when our protagonist was first diagnosed as quirkless.

Flashback

A young Izuku Midoriya was pestering his mother to let him use the computer, his mother, Inko Midoriya, went to his room and booted up the computer.

"Jeez, you must have probably added ten thousand views just by yourself, Izuku." she said.

"Its too scary for me. I can't watch it." she continues.

The video is shown to be a video of a disaster that happened a long time ago. It was also the video that showed a hero that debuted right after that disaster. It was a video that showed the debut of the current top hero All Might. Where he saved over 100 injured people all while laughing and smiling. And stating his catchphrase at the end.

"Its fine now! Why?! Because I am here."

We can clearly see young Izuku's extreme admiration for All Might as he is holding an All Might action figure as he watches the video.

"He's so cool!" young Izuku yells, "Once I get my quirk, I wanna be like him too!"

"Ba ha ha ha ha Ah ha ha ha ha!" He laughs.

As he says this we can see Inko in the background looking suspiciously sad.

The next day, was the day that Izuku was going to the doctor to find out what quirk he would receive.

"You should probably give it up." said the doctor.

Izuku is struck by pure, paralyzing sadness, he then drops the All Might figurine.

Thats Inko starts, "Is something wrong with him after all?"

"Most of the other kindergartners quirks have already manifested." she continues, "He's the only one..."

"Excuse me, but you're a fourth generation, right ma'am?" the doctor asks, he then continues by asking, "May I ask about your Quirk?"

Inko then replies by saying, "Yes of course. I can pull small objects to me." she then continues by saying, "My husband can breathe fire."

"Normally, by age four, he would have manifested one of those quirks, or some combination of the two." he says.

He then goes on to say "In the past when the superpowers first started showing up, the results of an early research study were published. It became common practice to see if the pinky toe was missing a joint or not. When parts of the body arent used theyre deemed unnecessary. People who didn't have the joint were thought to be a newly evolved form."

He then points to an x-ray while saying, "You can see by looking at this x-ray that Izuku has two joints. Its unusual to see that these days, but that means he has no quirk."

They then leave the doctors office.

After getting home Izuku runs to his room and re-watches the video of All Might's debut, with Inko standing behind the chair looking at him.

"Mom... He saves everyone with a smile, no matter what trouble theyre in... He's such a cool hero..." he says while turning to face his mother.

He turns and his eyes are filled with tears causing his mothers eyes to tear up.

"Can I... be a hero, too?" he asks sadly.

Inko walks towards him and hugs him then while crying she says, "I'm sorry, Izuku! I'm sorry. I'm sorry!"

Flashback End

It is now 6 years later and life did not look good for young Izuku. He is now ten years old and his life was hellish. He would go to school and be bullied and ridiculed by his former best-friend Katsuki Bakugo while the teachers did nothing. Bakugo had come up with a nickname for Izuku, Deku was the name and it stood for useless, and everybody at the school started calling Izuku by that name; including the teachers. Izuku would always go home bruised and bleeding everyday but he would hide it from Inko so that she wouldnt worry.
