The 5-hour Relationship

"Congratulations, Ms. Summa Cum Laude!"

"Congrats Akishna!"

"Congratulations, Kish!"

Mula pa kanina puro ganyan na ang mga naririnig ko na sinasagutan ko naman ng ngiti at 'thank you'.

Nandito kami ngayon sa isang private resort na pag may-ari ng family ng isa sa mga friends ko to celebrate our graduation. At katulad ng mga congratulatory message nila, ako ang summa cum laude ng Business Ad department ng batch 2019-2020.

Kasama ko rin ngayon ang syang pinaka masaya ata saming lahat kahit ako ang top 1 ng batch namin. Paano ba naman sinagot na sya ng babaeng niligawan nya for 2 years kanina lang during the graduation ceremony.

Katabi ko nga sya ngayon eh at ang laki pa ng ngiti nya while humming his favorite song. After awhile, hinawakan nya yung kamay ko at tumingin sya sakin.

"I love you, babe. Thank you so much." Sabi nya. Yup, I was the girl na niligawan nya at ngayon ay girlfriend na.

Napangiti naman ako ng dahil dun, he's really a sweet kind of guy. He's a man of every girls dream but sorry nalang because he's mine now.

"I love you too, babe." I replied.

Then I reminisced what happed a while ago.

*Flashback

"For this year's summa cum laude, let me call on stage Akishna Kate S. Reyes, for her graduation speech. Let's give her a round of applause."

I smiled at my professor and walked on stage towards the podium to deliver my short thanksgiving graduation speech.

Humarap ako sa lahat at ngumiti bago mabilisang hinanap ang family and friends ko. Then I cleared my throat and started speaking.

"Good afternoon to our dearest dean, professors, parents and guardians, and to you my fellow graduates. First of all I want to congratulate all of us, graduates, for finishing this college journey and thank everyone of you for being part of my life. This is the part where we start another life-long journey, so I'm here to say 'goodluck everyone'." I said that with a big smile and with my left hand clenched, halfly raised and shaking a bit like I'm supporting them. I saw some of them smiled and laughed a little and some copying what I did which feels like they are cheering me too. Then I continued.

"Apart from that, I also would like to thank all the professors who worked hard to teach each and everyone of us and support us for our whole college life. We really appreciate your efforts, considerations, advices, and everything you did for us. I'm hoping that you'll still remember us despite handling and teaching hundreds of students every year because we will never forget you and the things we learned from you. We salute all of you." Then I put my hand on the side of my forehead, saluting. The graduates also did the same and looked at our professors sitting at the back. I also thanked all the staffes in the universities and of course my parents for the support and the love.

"Lastly to my friends, I owe you a lot, guys. Thank you for supporting me and being there with me through thick and thin, I love all of you so much. And to one person who's been asking me the exact same question since 2 years ago, I'll answer you now." Then I smiled wide and paused because they shouted 'yiee', I think all of them knows that Jax is courting me since 2 years ago because my friends are so loud and I'm kind of a little popular because of my looks and my brains. I also won the crown in the university pageant where all courses and departments are included. By the way I'm not bragging. Well, Jax is also popular since he was part of the basketball varsity and he's a heartthrob together with his friends.
