Rin - Happy end

"Im sorry (Y/N)...but this just isn't working out anymore...I think we are just not meant to be together." You boyfriend spoke.

"What do you mean?!" You asked as your body began to shake.

"We should have never even tried...it was obvious from the start that this wouldn't work out." He said and tears formed in your eyes.

"W-what...I-I don't understand it...." you muttered.

"Its over (Y/N)...please domt cry...its embarrassing...just like you." He said and then walked away.

You just stood there, in the middle of tokyo, not knowing where exactly you were or how to get home.
He really just broke up with you after taking you out on a date.
"Asshole!" You muttered as you watched him disappear behind a corner.

As you thought about what to do and how you would get home, loud thunder could be heard and pulled you put of your thoughts.
You looked at the sky, noticing it had turned dark grey.
This was the last thing you needed.

After only a few seconds, the rain came pouring down on you, drenching your clothes.
Without a plan you started running, trying to find a dry place.

At least your tears weren't visible anymore because your whole face was wet.

After about five minutes of running you reached a small park with a big oak tree.
You sat down underneath the vig tree and decided to wait until it would stop raining.

You pulled your kees up to your chest, hugging your legs in an attempt to keep your body warm.
For moments you just sat under that tree, bawling your eyes out while your body was shaking.
Your mind was running wild while you tried to figure out what had just happened.
Your boyfriend that you had been together with for one year  had just broken up with you.
You placed your head on your knees, your tears wetting your clothes even more.

The sound of footsteps coming closer tore you out of your thoughts and made you look up.
Your face got hot as you looked at the person that stood infront of you.

"Rin?!" You mumbled looking at your classmate.
Just like your clothes, his wete drenched by the rain.
He had his jaked placed over his head, using it as as umbrella and his black hair was wet and stuck to his head.

"(Y/N)! I didnt expect to see you here, mind if I sit down next to you?" He asked with his usual soft smile.

"Yes, of course!" You said, patting the space next to you.

"Mind if I ask what you are doing here?" He asked softly.

"I could ask you the same..."

"I actually live around here and when I wanted to go back to the dorm it started to rain." He explained.
"I was just wondering because...the school is on the other side of town..."

"Yeah...I actually don't really know where I am or how to get back...I know...pretty embarrassing." You said while hiding your blushing face.

"(Y/N)....have you been...crying?" He asked, sounding a bit worried.

"N-no..." you muttered, remembering that your now ex boyfriend said that it is embarrassing to cry.

"I dont want to force you to tell me whats going on or make you feel uncomfortable, but just know that you don't have to be embarrassed. You can talk to me about anything (Y/N)!" He said, his face turning a light shade of pink.

"Thank you Rin...you were right...I've been crying...Today was a really shitty day!"

"Do you...want to talk about it? I promise it'll stay between the two of us." He said softly, putting a hand on your shoulder.
Looking up at his kind face made you blush even more.

"Uhmm...my boyfriend kinda broke up with me..." you mumbled quietly, hoping he would hear you.

"Im so sorry (Y/N)...do you know why? Not that it matters!" He said while waving around his hands.

"Nope, he just said it isn't working out and that we should have never been together." You said, shrugging your shoulders.

"Im really sorry (Y/N)..." he mumbled.

"Its ok...I guess...hes an asshole." You said with a small smile.

"Are you...ok?" He asked softly.

"...no, I don't think so...I just lost someone really important to me, I don't know how to get home and I'm really cold." You answered and he looked at you with a worried expression.

"Here, its a bit wet...but maybe it can keep you warm." Rin said and put his jacket over your shoulders like a blanket.

"Thank you Rin..." you muttered while you inhaled the sweet smell of his jacket.

"No problem, I dont want you to catch a cold!" He said with a big smile, showing off his sharp teeth.
"Also dont worry about getting back home, I know the way!"

"Thank you so much Rin!" You hugged him which caught him off guard and made him tense up. But after a moment he relaxed and hugged back.
"Your body is so warm...." you whispered making your classmate blush.

"I dont think its going to stop raining soon..." he spoke.
"yeah I don't think so either..." you replied.
"Well...I dont mind spending time with you..." he muttered while hiding his cherry red face.
"Youre so cute..." you blurted out and felt how Rins body tensed up.

"You are also....really cute..." he said, his deep voice just barely above a whisper.

Your hand slowly moved around the ground until it slightly touched his. His hand felt so warm and it caught you off guard when he put his big hand on top of yours, holding it gently. You intertwined your fingers with his while you felt your face heat up.
All of a sudden you felt your body  heat up, you felt like you were kn fire, but it also felt good.

"I dont want to take advantage of this situation and you feelings vulnerable...." Rin said.

It was in that moment that you realized something.
You realized that you never really loved your ex, there was someone else that you had loved the whole time. It was Rin that you have had a crush on for a while now, ypu just never really realized it.
You loved his cute smile and how he was almost always happy. You loved his cute tail and pointy teeth.
You loved how he had the same interests as you and that he had big goals and doesn't care about what other people think.
"Im so dumb..." you muttered after you had realized your true feelings.

"Dont say that..." he said with furrowed brows and a frown.

"But its true!"

"Why?" He sounded confused.

"I just...I just realized something that I should have noticed sooner..." you said and Rin raised an eyebrow.

"What did you realize?"

"Just that I never actually loved my ex...and that there's a person that is really important to me...." you blushed while replying to his question.

"Well that's nice to hear...you don't have to tell me who it is..." Rin mumbled and sounded a bit disappointed.

"Its you! I think I love you Rin! I've had a crush on you for a really long time but never really realized it."

"Fuck I thought this day would never come..." he muttered.
"I've loved you for what feels like an eternity (Y/N)!"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because you had a boyfriend!?"

"Oh yeah...right..."

"Well...would you like to go on a date with me...of course when its not raining..."

"I would love to go on a date with you Rin!" You said with a huge smile, earning a tight hug from him.
