I was woken up the next day by a rather worried looking Chris. Staring at me.
" What? " I snapped, trying to stop myself from getting lost in those gorgeous blue eyes of his. I tore my gaze away when i realised just how much i was staring. Which was a lot.
" She hurt you. " It wasn't a question as much as a statment. A confusing one at that. How could he have known - he definately wasn't one of them, i could tell that from simply looking at him.
" Do, do you. Do you see them to? " I was hesitant in asking, my stutter made that clear. I was just worried incase i was having what the oldest staff liked to call an off day.
" Yes, and you're not crazy. Which is why i am breaking you out of here tomorrow. You need to be safe. " My mind went blank before going into overdrive. He was BRAKING ME OUT. He acts like im stuck in some kind of prison, and he can see them too. Thats a lot of information to put out there and he was acting like it was nothing.
" If im not crazy then what am i? "
" Thats a conversatione for another time. Be ready tomorrow. " And with that i was all alone. Thoguh not for long. After about ten minutes, i felt the familiar presance of Ira the "ghost " that i got on with. She had told me that she had died of cancer 14 years ago but she still looked 17 like she was when she died. Ira is one of the reasons that i don't think that i'm crazy. She could tell me whats going on somewhere else and it would be true.
" Well you don't look good. " Came the melodic voice of Ira. I watched as she slowly appeared, her dark hair and ruby lips making her skin look incredibly pale. As always she was in the casual clothes that she had died in.
" Because that will cheer me up after all that has happened in the last three days. " Ira sighed at my sarcastic tone. That happen alot. The sarcastic tone aswell as the sighing.
" Oh yes, i saw all that but they wouldn't let me help. I do knoww that you should trust Chris. I can't give anything away but he is worth having on your side! " I gave Ira a blank look. Couldn't help, yeah right. " What? I couldn't give anything away even if i wanted to, it would mess up the balance. "
" What is it with you and this god damn balance? " I swear, when i was with Ira i actually felt normal. We would argue and i would feel like an normal teenager with a normal friend despite the fact that i either see dead people or have some serious mental issues. " Yeah yeah, i know you can't tell me. " I watched as Ira sat down next to me. She touched one of the bruises from the whole evil little girl experience and i winced.
" That looks like it hurst. " She said softely, " Do you want me to get rid of it? " The fact that she could do this was news to me!
" Umm, im not sure what your going to do but sure. Knock your self out. " I watched with fasination as Ira hovered her hands just abouve my stomach. The colour or "aura" that i saw around her went into me, circulated and then went back into her hands. I examined myself to find that all of my injurys were gone and my muscles no longer ached. " Wow. " Was all that i could get out.
" See ya! " Every single time she does something nice she leaves, i never will understand her. Oh well - atlest i am no longer in pain every time i take a breath. I swear, that girl must hve punctured one of my lungs or somthing. I shivered as her image entered my mind. Next time i think that im going to take Chris' advice and not talk to anyone. Maybe it would have less traumatic consequences on me.
