"No dad it's fine" I assured him, snatching the threat on the piece of paper out of his hand.

"Alix are you okay? You're acting weird" dad asked, threading his eye brows together.

I scrunched up the paper and pushed it into my back pocket. I could feel Austin's intense stare burning into the side of my face but I avoided any eye contact with anyone because I knew I'd break. Jeez how long is this going to last?

"Pizza is in the kitchen help yourselves" dad told us. I could tell by his voice he was worried. I knew when Austin went home he would come up and try to get it out of me.

We took the box filled with food and brought it up to my room. We both collapsed onto my bed, taking a piece each. I forgot how hungry I actually was after all this going on.

"This is so good" I announced after finishing my first mouth full.

I looked up at Austin after my comment and saw him just nodding. He never looked in my eyes, not even for a second. That's how I knew something was up with him too.

"What's on your mind" I asked, throwing my pizza back on the box, ready to comfort him.

"Are you finished with that?" He asked, confusing me even more.

"Yes but that doesn't answer my question" I laughed but it came out more of a sigh.

"Let's take a walk" he suggested.

I agreed and we left the house. I had literally no idea what he was going to say. I was actually quite nervous. Honestly, I didn't even want to know. He looked upset and I couldn't stand seeing him hurt.

As we walked along the sidewalk our hands brushed together as they swung side by side. Austin then used that as a signal to take hold of it properly. When he took my hand we both looked at each other and smiled subtly. Even though we did this a lot, it still never failed to give me butterflies. When I finally concentrated on our surroundings I noticed we were at the park, I uncontrollably let out a slight laugh.

"What's funny?" Austin asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's just every time we've been here something has happened" I explained, giggling. I remembered the kiss in the rain we had here and other occasions we ended up here.

"Well then I picked the right place then" he giggles too. His laugh was the sweetest thing I had ever heard.

He guided me to the deserted playground, where the two swings hung ready for us to sit on. We each took a swing and started moving back and forward slightly.

"Alix can I ask you something?" Austin bursted out. This time he was actually making intense eye contact with me. The nerves kicked in once again.

"Of course" I replied, biting my lip. I had no idea what to expect to come out of his mouth.

"Well uhm you know...in a month there is uh..uh" he stuttered. Why was he so nervous? I was on the receiving end of this, I should be more nervous.

"Austin what is it?" I asked, tilting my head. He looked freaking adorable when he was nervous though, I just wanted to hug him.

"I was wondering if maybe you would.. Uhm go to the dance with me. It's in a months time" he blurted out all in one go.

"Oh that's the thing, you know those notes?" I said, trying my absolute hardest to keep a straight face. I was going to have a little joke before actually fangirling at how cute he was.

"Yeah?" He asked quickly, he was so eager for my actual answer.

"See they're from my secret boyfriend and I already promised I'd go with him" I dramatically sighed. "But you know, I take bribes" I added, revealing a sly smile and a wink.
