Spring Dance.
As I went down the stairs, I could feel Dad's eyes on me. I didn't blame him - I was only now realising just how beautiful this dress was. It was a strapless white dress that hugged my body and then flared out to stop just above my knees. It was playful and causal, giving off that fun summer feel.
The heeled sandals helped accentuate my dark hair which I'd let flow in large waves. My only accessory was a clip with a large white flower that had a turquoise tinge in the center, giving color to my eyes.
"You look amazing!" Dane grinned, pulling me in for a hug.
"Thanks," I blushed, giggling nervously. It felt like the first date all over again.
The doorbell rang and my heart thudded.
"Easy," Dane soothed in my ear. "He'll love it. Now get out of here."
"Okay." I took a deep, calming breath. "Bye, Dad."
"Have fun," Dad replied.
I walked over to the door and pulled it open to find Warren standing on the porch.
We both stared.
The sight of him scrambled my mind. He was dressed in black jeans and an open white golfer Tee. Simple, but he looked like a work of art, Adonis in person. His dark mane was wavy but swept back from his face, making his eyes even more striking.
He smiled first. I blinked and blushed as we both laughed. When the fit died down, we gazed at each other again.
"You looked amazing," he whispered.
"Thank you," I blushed.
"Will you guys get out of here already?" Dane demanded from somewhere in the house.
"You really should house train him," Warren muttered, offering me his hand.
I took it and closed the door. "Or put him down."
The car in our driveway made my jaw drop. I instantly knew it was fast and had to fight the urge to drool.
It was a cherry red convertible that glinted in the sun. It looked sleek, playful and utterly dangerous.
Warren chuckled next to me, bringing me out of my daze. "Shall we?"
"New car?" I asked, not taking my eyes off it as he took me to it.
"No, actually. You have yet to view my garage. I'm sure you'll be very pleased."
I touched the Mustang in awe before I got in. He walked round, flicking his keys, then laughed when he saw me caressing the dashboard. When he sat next to me, pulling shades on, I turned wide eyes to him. "Warren, I think I'm in love."
He raised a brow and smirked, "I'll have it scrapped before sunrise."
I raised a brow now. "Jealous?"
