Looking at the vampire, you observe that she appears to be snarling with hunger, her pale skin almost appearing to be hollowed out. "Maybe you need to drink more blood so your powers can work properly?" you suggest, to which the vampire's eyes widen. She lets out a sneering laugh. "So I see you're allowing me to drink your blood?" At her words, you immediately dash away, your heart pounding rapidly with every hasty step you take as the forest blurs past you in smudges of green, orange, and brown. You slow to a halt, realizing she hasn't even been following you, and might have been joking with you through her startling threat. Regardless of her true intentions, you gain EXP for narrowly missing becoming a vampire's meal.
Remembering what you've been carrying in your backpack for school, you gesture for her to wait as you kneel down, scooping your Magical Creatures textbook out of its pocket. You flip to the pages that discuss vampires, and point to them. "Maybe there's some information in here that can help you," you suggest, picking up the textbook and offering it to her. She grabs the textbook from your hands, and looks at the pages with amusement, emitting shrill giggles. "Wow, I didn't know that humans were so obsessed with us." In mere seconds, she eyes your backpack, leaps over to it, snatches it from your grasp, and runs away, leaving you bewildered and wallet-less.
