Sierra's POV

I want to walk into the senior room with confidence. Unfortunately, I probably look like a dying skunk. Have you ever seen a skunk die? I haven't. It's probably pretty nasty. That's exactly what Sierra felt like. She had all of these unanswered questions in her head.
'Does my makeup look ok?'
'Do I smell?'
'What does my hair look like?'
The questions just went on and on. All of these disappeared as she stepped into her homeroom.
"You have GOT to be kidding me....." I almost said out loud. "TRAVIS!?" Are you freaking kidding me? We've been in the same classes for, what, 13 years now? Ever since that day in Pre-K we had ALWAYS been in the same classes : Science, Algebra, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History and (don't ask me why we even did this) Physical Ed. Now we were both freshmens and I was stuck with the exact same curse. I mean, two years is ok but the while frickin time I was in elementary school and Jr. High, there's your problem. It's like he'd been stalking me and requesting every teacher I had requested. That boy had some nerve. Just as I thought things couldn't get any worse, they did. Travis spotted me from his 'crew', as he puts it, and does what guys do when they see a girl, whistle and flick their hair back. I walk up to his 'homies' and smile sweetly.
"Hi boys. I was just wondering..." I begin.
"Yeah," they all say in unison.
"If you could get the heck out of my desk," I finish. I was angry but then I felt like bursting out laughing. All of their faces had the same expression and were tilted the exact same way. All except for Travis who knew I could be stubborn.
"Geez babe-" he began.
"DON'T ever call be babe again. You have a girlfriend, remember Einstein?" I snap at him.
"All these guys like you. I'm trying to set you up with someone to forget about your last...." he couldn't finish. I have him my death glare. I dare you.... Say it... Yes, Travis was going to say boyfriend. I did have a boyfriend before. His name was Ryan. Ryan was the sweetest guy I had ever met and always took me to romantic places.

One night we lay out in his back yard looking up at the stars.
"Ya know Si," he said to me. "We could be going this exact same thing in 11 years. Looking up at the stars. Having a kid or two lying between us."
It sounded like a dream that was real, too good to be true but happening anyway. We both looked over at each other. I'm pretty sure I was blushing. He smiled at me then rolled over so that he was facing me. He puts his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him. The second our lips touch, it was like I was in a fairy tale, a princess meeting her prince. We kissed until I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore (which I'm pretty sure was like 2 minutes). The second we pulled away his phone rang. He immediately got up with a look of panic in his eye and ran into his house. Without his presence I felt cold outside. I slowly followed him inside and heard his muffled voice since he was in his room. Even though he was two rooms away she heard what she needed to.
"Babe...... I know. We'll work this out. I'm trying to break it to Sierra right now."
And that's all that she needed to hear. By the time he hung up the phone, Sierra had already left. Ever since then, Travis had been trying set her up with some guys.
"Travis," I began. "I understand why you are doing this and I appreciate it. But I'm not quite really for another broken heart." And with that the bell rang for first period and we all sat down.
